It's our anniversary!

Not a milestone number, not on a decade or half-decade, but just the same, it's pretty neat.

Today Dale and I celebrate our 32nd wedding anniversary. That Saturday in 1975 was the only nice Saturday in the whole month. So I was glad we went with the 4th instead of later in the month, like I originally wanted to.

As it turns out, the numbers 1-0-4 have followed us through the years and seems to be connected to all good things for us. We had a CB radio in those days, and my standing joke to Dale was the sign-off - 10-4, good buddy. I thought it was so hokey! Then 10/4 became our wedding date. Then when we built our home, our original address number was 104 8O (changed later by our township fire department, who standardized all the addresses in the township). Then when I started my current job (27 years ago), my first office number was 104. :lmt: (How could I NOT still be here, given I was destined to work here!) Then when I got pregnant with our first child, his original due date was 4/10. This was before the days of routine ultrasounds, but somehow I just KNEW he was a boy. And for whatever reason, be it karma or whatever, he's one of the best and luckiest people I know, bar none.  Then when I got the PIN number for my ATM card, 1-0-4 were 3 numbers in it - and that was randomly selected for me! And one day I just had a hunch that I should play a Pick 3 lottery card with the numbers 104, but got busy and never got around to buying the ticket. Guess which number won!!!

So anyway, it seems I'm destined to stay with this man.:ghug: He's not perfect, but neither am I. Through good times and bad - and there have been plenty of both - we adapt, we adjust, we keep going. We have been blessed with two of the best kids EVER. And I couldn't be happier.

I hope you and Dale have a great anniversary, and many more to boot! :D
Awesome, Chris! Happy Anniversary!
Well let's see:

10/4 = 2.5. Anything interesting for you associated with 2.5?

10x4 = 40. 8 more years and you'll be at that milestone both ways!

Sometimes the supermarket chain here will run a special on cans of soda. They will be something like 10 for $2. Or ears of corn.

At the end of the day, it's all about you! Happy Anniversary, 10-4?

You keep your shiny side up and your greasy side down, keep your nose between the ditches and the bears outta your britches.
KNA-1189 going 10-8 and 10-10 all over again, bye bye.
Congrats that is a long time. Many many more!!! :yay:

Aw, thanks everyone! :ghug: We're going out for a nice dinner tonight to one of my favorite restaurants. When you get to this stage, there's really nothing we want, so we agreed that we're going to put the money into stuff for redoing our bedroom (no new furniture, just everything else!). It's been a bit of a stressful week, so this dinner will be much needed and appreciated!
:clappurple: Congratulations, Chris & Dale on 32 wonderful years together! :clappurple:

Splurge on the good wine and chocolate desert tonight. You deserve it.
