can my dog catch the flu?

I have the flu, my dog has been my faithful buddy by my side the whole time. He's acting very lethargic today. Can he have caught my flu, or is he just getting used to not going outside and playing so much as in the past few days?

Most likely, he's just adjusting himself to your current situation. :)
It is not possible for your dog to catch the flu from you.**
He's probably just feeling sad that you are feeling poorly as well.
Dogs don't like changes in routine very much.

I hope you feel better soon!

**Well, I'm pretty sure about that.
