Willoughby's next adventure

:D You may recall (or not) my fall last month for which Willoughby took some resonsibiity. Well, he's redeemed himself. Edwina, my senior cat, assigned him 10 demerit points for his role in the accident and said that she might have to notify Santa Claus if he didn't turn over a new leaf. 8O He was very good on subsequent walks. Then last week, we travelled agin to the Okanagan where my horse has become very ill with Cushing's disease. On the way, in a village in the interiir, my car broke down and had to be towed. He was an angel for most of the experience, losing it only when he tried to help the mechanic who was attempting to free the gear shift so the car could be towed. He jumped up into the cab of the tow truck when I asked him, even though the noise and vibration scared him. He was an extremely good boy for the entire trip to a city garage which took nearly an hour. We were then left by the car, eveything was closed and I had to phone various friends to see who could pick us up. :plead: Luckily, the kennel owners saved us from a cold night. They took me to the local hotel in their town and Willoughby to the kennel as arranged. :phew: Needless to say, he has wiped out all his demerit points and received a citation for bravery from Edwina. The car was back on the road $3oo later!

Sorry about your car. :(
Glad you had Willoughby to keep you company.
Good boy Willoughby!! :clappurple: What a brave boy you are protecting your Mom!! :high5: Sorry about your car. :x
Wow! Wow! on many fronts. The repair bill doesn't sound bad at all, granted $300 is still alot, but my luck it would have been $700 at least. Second, your boy's fine behavior! I'm sure having him there made you feel a bit more secure.......he was watching out for you, reading your body language, ready to do his job. Third, he did not bolt, but stayed close. Fourth, he survived the kennel stay.

That was quite an adventure. All demerits are washed away, he now has several gold stars!
What a day! I always fear breaking down! Glad he was such a patient good boy!
what a good boy...that deserves a gold star and a kiss on both cheeks!!
What a day! Good boy Willoughby!
Atta boy, Willoughby!!
:D I'll tell Willoughby that he's had very positive feedback . I was so proud of him. :ghug:
