OESCA agility trial '07 - jump height cards

Just so you know, our agility judge this year is a VMO (Voluntarily Measuring Official), so if your dog does not yet have a jump height card, her measurement will count towards that.

You need two measurements at age two or above by an AKC agility rep OR a VMO, unless you dog measures over 22" at the withers - which many OES do. In the latter case, your dog's regular jump height will be 24" (20" in Preferred) and you only need to one measurement.

I've excerpted info on jump height cards from the AKC Regulations for Agility Trials (which can be found at www.akc.org)

She will also measure unentered dogs as time allows. That means non-entered agility dogs; not just because we want to know how tall Fluffy is

Section 4. Jump Height Card. All dogs competing in
agility must present a valid official Jump Height Card.
For dogs two years and older, owners/handlers
must present a permanent height card at check-in or
be measured prior to competing. At 2 years of age
two measurements are required and a 3rd measurement
will be used as a jump height tie breaker if
necessary. The handler will retain the yellow form
until the 2nd measurement is taken. No permanent
height card will be issued until the 2nd measurement
is officially recorded, with the exception of
dogs measuring over 22 inches whose owner may
request the issuance of a permanent height card
with one measurement.
For dogs under two years of age, the owner/handler
must present a temporary height card form at
check-in or be measured prior to competing. A card
will not be issued until the dog’s permanent measurement
is recorded. Dogs with a single measurement
above 22 inches before 2 years of age may be issued
a permanent height card at the owner’s request.
Dogs that do not have a Jump Height Card, will be
measured by a judge of record for that trial and will
only be effective for that set of trials, excluding the
dogs jumping in the 24-inch or 26-inch height division.
If an AKC Field Representative or a Volunteer
Measuring Official (VMO) is present, all dogs must be
measured for a Jump Height Card regardless of the
jump height entered.
