Barney licked cat puke--will he get sick?

My cat puked repeatedly this morning and before I could stop him Barney had gone over and at least touched his nose to the puke and licked his nose (might have actually licked the puke)--I could tell b/c he was licking his nose over and over.

This was real puke too--it was gross, not just undigested cat food.

Do you think Barney will get sick from it or do you think he'll be alright. And does it matter if my cat is sick or just puking for fun?

I agree. He's the president of the club, at least for today!
HAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, sorry had to laugh.

So here is a gross (er) story.

When my daughter was an infant my girlfriend was babysitting. She had a baby who was 3 months older than my daughter. Her daughter was sitting up, my daughter was still doing the turtle impression on her belly. She left the two of them in the middle of the living room floor while she stepped out to get the mail off the proch. When she returned my duaghter had puked and her daughter was slurping it up.

They are both in their 20's now and we have forever called them "puke buddies"

I think the dog will be ok
If they get sick than I think Yuki would have by now. She wears the been there, ate that, looked for more t-shirt for just about any poop or vomit.

hope the kitty is okay!

edit: and I often wonder the same thing about whether the cat is sick or being normal. They seem to go ignored more often than dogs. So far, I've been going by....... if it stops within a few days (just a few vomits each day) then it's no biggie. However if it was non-stop all day, I'd be worried.
Ginny, that is very gross! 8O
OK, you guys managed to tell a story that grosses me out more than my tick belly pics gross you out.

I actually shivered on that one.
Congrats.
8O Ginny! That is our #1 Grossest for this site. (which is saying alot!)   Congratulations!

As for dog puke question: cats puke for fun??

Answer, no, or else my dogs would be sick most of the time. Consider it their verision of chewing their or a cud: if it didn't go down right the first time, try again.
Ooooooooh I feel sick :?

Ginny I have just had breakfast, I feel it rumbling around now. 8O

Barney EEEEWWWWWWW Gross. That's up there with Kitty Crunchies.

I don't have cats thank goodness :P
Barney should be fine. When I had cats my dogs were always eating cat puke. Now the dogs I have just eat each others. YUCK!!
I think Barney will be fine. That stuff never made me sick...and I have a pretty sensitive stomach, so he should be good to go. :D Come to think of it though, I do rub against things now and purr quite often....and sleep in a ball on the floor when not napping under the car hood on that warm engine block. :) HMMM! OK I am off to the Vet Clinic oops :o I mean ER before I morph into a cat.
Since I'm sure everyone was dying for an update on the cat puke story--

Barney is fine, the cat is fine, the carpet isn't fine  ...
Was it at the new place? I always hate that first "spill" on the nice clean carpet!

Yep, at the new place

Oh well. Once the first spill has happened, it makes the other ones seem less important afterwards...
