Get the ball, Pooh, now "bring it"!!

After 3 tries, he's got it and LOVES this game. So far, he has always brought it back to me inside and out!

So, he has the Retriever quality not the OES that I recall here....my last OES never brought it back!

My two sheepies watch with wonder at the dogs who run after a ball and then pick it up and carry it back to be tossed again. They figure, if it ain't moving, they are certainly not going to pick it up and bring it back... It is so funny to watch them and a retriever "play". I use the term play real loose here. My dogs don't get it at all. Now put a bunch of kids in the play ground, my dogs might think that is fun to keep them together.

I just love sheepies, they have such a different idea about so many things!
Josh,

By the way, I want to tell you how cute Pooh is. I am loving any and all pictures you post of him and I am so excited to hear about him as he grows up.

Thanks for the updates, and photos!

I have to agree! He has that adorable Sheepie Look on his face - and that gorgeous black fur (reminds me of a Persian Lamb!). I can't wait to see him as he grows too!

Uuuummm, Mopsey retrieves! LOL It took me a while to teach her, but she finally got it! LOL She used to run after the toy, and then just run crazy in the yard with it, trying to get me to chase her. But she eventually got the game and REALLY loves it, outside and in. She is sleeping at my feet now, with her head on my toes. LOL Love that baby bear! :P
LOL...Jack and Annabelle also retrieve. That is one of their favorite things to do. They also will do it inside or out. If we are inside sitting down, it is only a matter of time before a wet ball is dropped in our lap. They can tire us of the game way before they tire. They sometimes get jealous of each other and they have to both have the ball in their mouth and share bringing it back.
I loved hearing about Pooh and his wonderful retrieving abilities! What a good boy! Give him belly rubs! Stormi and co.
It really is so funny, because the longer you play it with him, the more he wants to keep playing. He wimpers a bit when I stop and put the ball away. The tennis ball is reserved only for the retrieve game. I'm afraid if I let him have it he'll destroy it. He's not yet ready for a hard ball.

Oh, by the way, he also "retrieves" cardboard boxes....lol

Oh Josh-

Your Pooh is so ridiculously cute, I can't stand it anymore!!! That pic with him carrying the box is just utterly adorable! Can I clone him for myself?!

Karen :)
I agree with Karen, he is adorable. You can tell he know's just how cute he is. :D I am so glad you guys found the perfect match. AND, I am glad he was rescued into a happy and loving family. BRING ON MORE PICTURES OF SIR CUTENESS! Stormi and co.
Gosh, I can't believe it. I was fooling around during brushing time and "accidentally" taught him to "Speak". Does it, right on cue now. And when he has to do his business he goes to the front door and waits. Problem is, he still doesn't tell us, so if he's out of our site, we don't know that's what he has to do!
