I spoke with a lady in the Rogers Dog Show office today. They haven't even received the premium list for the show yet.
They WILL NOT be offering the online entry service. You can, however, go to their website and plug your dog's info into their entry form and print it off and fax it to them. This is probably one of the best ways to do it, then you can make sure it gets there. The lady, who's name is Pat, was very nice and helpful and had a southernish accent which made it even better!! She said that she prefers the fax entry.
The charge for that is $4.25 per entry but at least you'll know it got there and you'll have the confimation sheet from your fax machine as proof.
It's getting late people, get your entries in!!!!
I have new information on the website http://www.oldenglishsheepdogclubofamerica.org concerning entries. For those of you that did not get the broadcast email, I would suggest taking a look. I am assured by Maryanne who is show chair for the national and Karen Fischbach who is show chair for western reserve that we need not worry about previous entries. Dea Freiheit is emailing everyone that she receives an email from that she has received their entries. For those of you that sent your entries in before all of this, it is suggested you contact rogers dog Shows. I am assured by Maryanne that the previous show secretary Carol is being very helpful in getting any entries she receives timely to where they need to go. There is going to be a mass mailing this is especially important since the broadcast email to the entire club was very limited to the number of people that received it.

Thanks

According to the information I received they are charing 2.25 per entry. They have to fax the 48 page premium list inot their system before they can accpt online entries. I will try to update the website once I get the information. They have started sending me information on a regular basis now.

Extra information about contacting the Roger's Dog Show office:

I needed to only send the AKC Entry for Agility Trial which they did not have their own entry form for, so I called them with my credit card information and then faxed the AKC form. I spoke to Frances and like Mandy said, the people in the office were very nice.

They will send out confirmations in the mail starting next week.

Phone number is: 601-583-1110
Fax number is: 601-582-9909
OK, I faxed our entries in yesterday afternoon. I have not heard any confirmation they got the fax. I left my email, cell phone and return fax numbers.
I can't get through on their phone line, I've been calling several times an hour all day yesterday and since I got up this morning. I resent an email this morning just asking them to let me know they got the fax! Anyone else having troubles?
Yup. It's causing me chest pain!
OK, I feel better, sort of. :(
I am glad I am off today, it has turned into a fulltime job checking!
I did call Dea, and she had no pearls of wisdom. She has the same contact info for Rogers that we do. She said I "probably" could safely assume they got it, but man, that does little to make me feel better!

I know they are busy, but answering some calls or emails would help! 8O
I just checked my Visa account on line and there was a charge on there for Rogers Dog Show - although it was for $6.75 more than I expected. But I would assume by the charge going through that they have received my entry! So if you charged it that would be one way to check.
Judi, you are so smart!! :D
I will go check now!
Ok, it hasn't gone through :( . No help there.
But Judi, you are still smart. :D
Ive been doing that for the past few days, just hoping that it would be there shining like a beacon of hope but nope, not yet!! Grrrrrr
Well, I just spoke to someone who got through to them a little while ago.

The St Bernard Specialty closed at noon, so they were swamped with that AND our calls.

Now, don't everyone call them all at once unless you really need to, please.

If it's a call regarding confirmation of receipt of entries that originally went to Carol, I'm told on good authority that those have been forwarded very, very carefully and people should not be worried. You'll still receive confirmation of receipt from Dea, but you don't need to have it in hand by close today to consider yourself entered.

I finally got through, they said they got mine - twice!
I really apoligized, but the lady I spoke with was very nice and understanding.
Now I can go to work and relax! :D

You're at least the second performance person to end up entering twice, but the first one to do so using the same method!

How are you going to work that? Clone the boys? :cow:

Kristine
I called my entry in yesterday. Talked to a lady. She took the information and my credit card number. She then called me and left a message telling me she needed my credit card information. I spent 3-4 hours trying to get through. In the mean time, I emailed my credit card information, I faxed afte about 50 tries on the ole fax machine it went through. Then I called and talked to someone and confirmed my credit card information, I have yet to have my card charged. So I do not know if I'm entered or not.

I guess I am just unique.
I would happily clone Chewie and Clay - they are super boys! :D And having a second chance at every class would be awesome!

Barb - you must hold the record for how often you actually got through on the phone and talking to someone! BTW, my charges haven't appeared yet either.
I overnighted my entries with Fedex the end of last week. With all the different classes the different dogs were entered in, it would have cost me at least that to enter via fax anyway. Then I tracked the envelop to make sure they had signed for it.

I've never had to do this before. But then I've never entered this late before either. I think this is going to become my preferred method of entry for nationals from now on. Or even return receipt requested via USPS. I know some people used the Best In Show Entry Service and that method worked smoothly, but was a bit more complicated for the performance people.

Dawn - let me know how the cloning works out for you

Kristine
Here's one way to know they got your entries if you paid by check: they rec'd my entries on Friday (8/31) and the check had already cleared the bank as of yesterday (9/5) Not bad considering there was a holiday in there. Confirmations will go out quickly in any event. But if you entered last week and you have online banking, you have a quick method of double-checking.

Kristine
They emailed me. They have my entrires. I think it all is going to go well.

Well, fine for you! But the Performance Chair still hasn't received official notification that her entries are in

Actually, at this point I'd be happy to leave all of my dogs home. And avail myself of the nearest bootcamp while I'm gone. Between the rain and the skeeters, they're all conspiring to drive me out of what's left of my mind :D

Kristine
I've been asked the question about skeeters here in Saginaw county where the specialty is. I have NOT been bit by a skeeter all summer. Now that I've said that they'll be after me, I know they read. Anyway, Saginaw county has mosquito control. Frankenmuth/Birch Run is the area that supports the ENTIRE county. so that all being said, I'm sure they have no skeeters either. Since, I live on the other end way, way on the other end in rural no where and I have water on my property, and I have not been bit, I'd hazard a guess and say that Frankenmuth is as mosquito free as any place can be. I thought the next thing I'd do is the weekend before, kind of post the local weather. Michigan has funny weather, hot one day, cold the next. September can be a very pleasant experience in Michigan.
