How do OES get along with cats?

Just wondering... :D

LOL, mine get along with all 4 of them. They sleep together even. Jack will bathe them and they lay there and take it. Do you have cats now? 2 of our cats were here first and then the dogs came and then 2 more kittens, who one is 1 year old today, and the other in one week.
Stormi and co.
Sky is better with the cats than Dancer. Dancer torments and tortures them every chance she gets. No cat is safe in the same room. She hasn't hurt one, but I wonder sometimes, she is so rough, and relentless in her chase of anything with a tail to grab.
Yeah - I have a little Himalayan cat. He is soooo fluffy and cute! ^_^
Well Annie Rose is only a little over 4 mos now and the neighbors cat Moses downstairs is just over a year. As a kitten last year he adored my other sheepdog Rosie. From his first day here he would follow and stalk us everywhere, unfortunately Rosie was having trouble walking by this point and never got to show him a run for his money. He would rub up against her and walk under her on our walks and I used to warn him she might fall on him and he'd be sorry but he stayed right with her til the day I lost her.

Now when I brought Miss Annie Rose home on 7/17 he totally ignored us. I think his nose was bent out of shape at first, since he'd had my total attention since February and wasn't into sharing me. He turned his back on us and walked away as I tried to introduce her. Then the next morning he came over to investigate her and when she tried to investigate back, he swatted her right across the face with his paw, claws out. She gave out such a yelp, thought someone was killing her. Then by that afternoon, they were laying side by side. Now it's a challenge to get her to come in after a walk because the two of them are constantly running and tumbling with each other. Although now Moses can actually walk under her now she's getting so big, and when he's laying there all nice and calm, she'll come over and just sit down on top of him. It's going to be interesting to see how things progress as she gets bigger.
we had 2 kittens 4 month old when we brought Mopsey home. She was 8 weeks. At first, they didn't want anything to do with her, but now they are best budds. She does chase them sometimes, and gets growly when they try to eat her food when she is eating it, but otherwise they are pals. I wouldn't worry too much, but introduce them slowly and make sure that the cat has someplace safe to go to get away from the puppy. We have a floor to ceiling cat tree and several other places they can hop to to be left alone. Keep us posted on how the introduction goes! :)
Mine gets along great with cats and always wants to play with them... of course they don't always want to play with her. Emily sometimes gets too rough with her best buddy and many times she has sprain his legs. She will paw him down to the ground and then it's off to the vet. He still loves her though, always cleaning her ears for us.
LOL Yeah I noticed that they use their paws a LOT! Mopsey does the same thing to our kittens. I wish they would swipe her sometimes to teach her a lesson! But they have the patience of angels! I created many hiding places for them.
I actually don't know now if I should keep a kitten because I'm afraid Dancer will bite it's head off. I know she doesn't want to hurt them on purpose, but I'm afraid she will because she is so rough. My daughter really wants to keep Church, the grey kitten, but I can't decide. I have to decide soon though, they will be going to new homes soon.
Hmmm, that's a touph one. Is there a way to keep the kitten away from Dancer for a while till he grows a bit? Or maybe give her to a family member for a month? I know that's probably a bad idea because who ever you give him to will get used to him. Usually kittens are pretty good at run and hide, but with two rumbunctious puppies around, I don't know... Sky, i would think, would be ok with the kitten, cause she is still fairly small.
Well, keeping the kitten in a safe place till it grows a bit is kind of difficult. We've had to keep the bathroom door closed all the time since we moved here, because that is where the kittens live. They are all over the place now though, it is so hard to keep them in the bathroom. Everytime someone goes in there the kittens are scrambling to dash out the door so I'm always worried they are going to get stepped on or be squished by the door, and if they do manage to get out I worry they;ll get hurt because of the dogs. Sky doesn't seem to bother with them, and when she does it's just sniffing and kisses, but Dancer puts her mouth right around their head and neck.
I don't really know what to do, I'll be happy when they go to new homes. I'm counting down the days actually, they make such a huge mess of the bathroom! Everyday it needs to be cleaned 3-4 times a day from top to bottom, and they all climb the shower curtain now to so it's going to be ruined. I can't keep them in a bedroom upstairs because it's all new carpet up there and they smell bad enough in the bathroom where there is linoleum. They're all using the litterbox now but they track it everywhere as well as the food, and ripped up toilet paper...lol... I would think it is funnier if I weren't so busy already, but I think I'm heading for a bit of a burn out. LOL They're so cute though, I just look at their little faces, sigh, and clean up. LOL
I swear... if I could keep my surely old kitty cat Tigger with me - I doubt even a sheepdog would mess with him. He actually chased two big dogs away once... and all the local racoons are scared to death of him.

He is quite gentle with our pets though - and if they bother him enough - he'll try to let them know in the firmest (but gentle) way possible to beat it. Too bad my dad has dibs on him!

We have exactly the same problem he loves one of the cats to bits but he just can't help the temptation of biting him on the other hand he can't stand the other one when he jumps on the side to steal something (like he does) the cat growls and hisses and then it all kicks off. Hopefully it will all work out soon!!

I think it depends on how tired the dog is too. After a fun filled morning running in the yard Bella and Stripe (one of the foster kittens we got in june that i couldn't part with) are curled up together and sleeping soundly.
And I cant find the camera :x
just my 2 cents
