California Vacation- Coming Soon!
We've been quite busy year this year and a vacation is definitely overdue! One of our vet technician's will stay with the pups at the house for 4 days and then Grandma will take over from there. I'm sure they will have FUN FUN FUN! |

Stacy & I have been PMing each other, but in answer, yes we stayed there & it's very nice. (We bought our 1967 VW bus from the owners of the Inn back in 2003, and they put us up a few nights, while we finalized everything.) |

Well, we are here in Garden Grove and the weather is very lousy. It's cool, overcast and it is supposed to rain here and then in Laguna Beach. I read something online that said it would be the worst storm seen in Sept for decades  We are so disappointed especially me who was looking forwad to a lot of R&R relaxing by a pool or beach with good books. I'm very disappointed. 4 out of 5 trips we go on have "unprecedented" weather wherever and whenever we go. We're just not lucky!
We were thinking of driving to Palm Springs near Elissa .where the weather appears to be much nicer, but we won't be doing that. I can't cancel the Casa Laguna reservations now as they have a 5 day cancellation policy; we would need to pay the entire amount. According to the dog sitter, it is beautiful back home and the pups are enjoing her company and vice versa She was visited last night by another raccoon in the attic |

Yes, it is nice in the midwest today, but not what you want to hear. Get out and be a tourist, or just hang out and relax. Either way, I hope you enjoy the quiet and hopefully you get a few nice days! |
| Stacy, that sucks! Although, remember--you are on VACATION!! Just relax and hang out, maybe go to the spa if it's raining. Or put on a sweatshirt and jeans and go down to the beach to watch the waves. Being near the ocean during a storm is SO beautiful, so I think that even if you can't be out in the sun relaxing, it can still be a beautiful and fun trip. |
| It was nice out today! Elissa and Hayley picked me up and went to Fashion Island and then to a lovely neighborhood to see the ocean. It was wonderful to see them!
I now have Steve's cold Gotta go find some soup!

| It was a beautiful day by the coast.
Fashion Island that Stacy spoke of is in Newport Beach. Then we drove through Corona Del Mar to the Ocean. I did run into some rain and major traffic on my way there. But both cleared up
Glad we got to see you, Stacy! I uploaded the picture I took of you and Hayley. It is adorable! She was upset when she woke up and you were gone. |

Stacy, Hayley told Billy that she rode on an Old English Sheepdog on the Carousel.
(note: to those that weren't there: it was a Panda Bear) She just fell asleep holding her Sheepdog Bookmark. She told Ryan that "Stacy gave it to me." So I guess she can say your name after all.

| How sweet! Hayley is absolutely adorable and a real sweetie. I knew she liked me when she let me sit with her alone in the car and while Elissa waited for pizza (which took way too long for fast food). She even held my hand I didn't have the heart too wake her up when I was dropped off. She looked so innocent and I didn't want Elissa to have a hard time on the drive home.

| Hi All! We are back! It turned out that we had beautiful weather in Laguna Beach! We had a very nice time overall viewing the lovely coast. I never really did get a full blown cold, but I've been really stuffed up. Steve's ear didn't pop until the flight home
Of course, there are things we will do differently on our next vacation...such as pick a place directly on the beach and one that doesn't require as much driving to get to town for food and shopping. We didn't take that many pictures, but I'll share as soon as I can. All reports were good with the pups from the sitter and Grandma. Our wonderful neighbor also came in for walks. I'm sure they were spoiled rotten! Fozzie enjoyed spending time with Grandma in the bed watching tv |

Elissa and Hayley 
The view from our room at Casa Laguna Inn. This place was very clean, quaint and up in the hills. It was very lovely and the breakfasts were great. The room we chose was extremely small although it was a deluxe  oceanview. Between the inn and the beach is the coastal highway, houses, and a HUGE incline. We made it down one day, but I barely made it up. Steve was thinking about getting the car for me.
