We got the use of a 3bedroom condo from a salesman that Randy works with here in Snowmass.(near Aspen) This place is bigger then my house! The Ski slopes are right behind us...literally. We hiked a few hundred feet to see the gondola's. We spent the weekend in Steamboat Springs for PT Cruisers and found out Simon is a WATER DOG!!!! We went to the pet store and asked if there was someplace dogs can run(dog park?). There was an area, not a dog park but people did let there dogs offleash there and there was a pond. Of course Taylor went in and Simon followed. Yesterday we were in Meeker and there was a river. We walked over the bridge and found a place that was not hard to get to. Taylor walked right in up to his belly and turned around to look at us and he was beaming. It was a hot day and he was in heaven. Simon dove right in and was having a blast. He too never went past his belly but I think thats because Taylor didn't. Tomorrow they get boarded in Aspen for two days because we are not supposed to have pets here even though I have seen dogs here. At least this way we can check out the pool and hot tub. I'm not sure how I''m going to last two days without these guys...pool, hot tub, shopping... It will be hard but I will muddle through some how... |

Beautiful area. Have a great time! Just don't drive over Independence Pass on your way back. Great scenery but don't take your eyes off the road. Did you stop at the pool in Glenwood Springs......giant hot tub, mineral springs size of giant pool! |
