Well I have heard before that OES are "Nanny Dogs" and now I am a believer! I have noticed as Drake has aged ( a whole almost 10 months) that he has became a real "Nanny dog" to everyone in the family. The most recent example is the one that made me really realize what was going on. When I take my daughter to the bus stop in the morning Drake goes along. Well when we get there Drake is really good about waiting for the bus to come. My daughter likes to run up and down the sidewalk while we are waiting for the bus and Drake minds his own business until he sees she is getting a little to far away. Then he sits at attention and when she gets to far away he starts to bark as if calling her back. Then my daughter comes running back and Drake then goes back to his business of watching the cars go by. When she runs down the sidewalk again he does the same again. When the bus comes he sits at attention and carefully watches my daughter get onto to the bus. Once my daughter is on the bus and it is out of sight Drake becomes a little turd and starts tugging on his leash as we go home. It is funny that Drake is so prim and proper at one moment and then a little snot after he did his job! I see it more and more every day that Drake is such a clown until business needs to be taken care of! |

Aww, how precious. Drake sounds like a good nanny |
Admiral Drake reporting for duty. LOL This is a cute story. My daughter is in 1st grade and really wants to ride the bus to school. So far, I haven't caved in and take and pick up her and her brother. Last year, I said to myself that maybe next year she could ride and this year I am saying to myself maybe next year. Can you say overprotective? I know, I have been told before. LOL Something I can work on.....maybe next year.
I miss Drake stories, thanks for sharing this. Stormi and co. |
