The Milliion Dollar Highway

OMG...Have anyone ever done this??? Seeing as I'm scared of heights, I know its weird that I love this state. BUT, the Million Dollar Highway is the..I'm not sure how to describe it. Sheer rock wall on one side and sheer dropoff on the other side. No side rails. Nothing but air. We went to Silverton today and the ride was, was, hmmm, well half the trip I didn't breath and the other half(going back) I admired the scenery. I forgot about the thin air and sun here so Simon and I got a little sunburned. AGAIN, bad mom. One more day here and we are off to Steamboat Springs. By the way..what day is this?? I love Vacation!!!!

Glad you're having fun. That highway sounds scary.
Oh wow.... I just checked out some pictures of it. Cool!
Oh yes, know Million Dollar Highway and Red Mountain Pass. They don't have many drive-offs but they do have snow plow operators buried from avalanches once in awhile.

Very scenic. I cut my teeth on Loveland, Berthoud and Independence Passes so thought this one just another mountain road, LOL. Having been away from them for awhile, I wonder what I'd think now.
