What do you think I'm having?

I'll be finding out in the coming weeks. Maybe on Friday, but if not, then probably 4 weeks later. I'm 15 wks. I found out last time around this time, but my nurse tomorrow is a Lt Col who is a huge stickler for rules. This is me assuming by her behavior from when I met her before.

I got her instead of my normal nurse who would have told me in a HEARTBEAT b/c my laid back nurse has only brought me bad news, and I'm not comfortable anymore.

made them links b/c I don't want people opening the thread and seeing my big fat belly w/o choosing to. I'm showing so much sooner this time than last. (could be the nonstop eating)

My SIL is due a month before me and is having a boy.
My entire family on both sides, including mr. j, are rooting for a girl b/c out of the 6 grandkids, 5 are boys.

I won't say what "my gut" says the baby is... I have a weird belief this time that i'm going to jinx things if I tell everyone, so I haven't told a sole what I think, not even my husband. Sometimes I think I secretly want a girl. Other times I cry at the thought of it because I think I want a boy.

Quads 8O

I'll guess a girl, one of each would be awesome there a lil sis for lil J then.

Always amazing how the belly sticks out quicker then the first time around, hey lay off the junk food it is also harder to loose the weight after the 2nd time around.
You look so cute! I am going to guess a girl. That way Lil J can protect Baby Bean when they get older.
From the moment you told us you where expecting I have thought you are having a boy. By the way, your littly prego belly looks so cute. :D Thank you for sharing this wonderful time in your life with us. :D
Stay healthy!
I was thinking the same as Helen... a boy! :D
I think a girl :)

What a cute baby belly :)
Nice to see you Willowsprite... wish you posted more!! :)

Anyway.. ugh.. I totally don't think I have a cute tummy this time. I'm a lot bigger. This was me last time a week further along than I am in the pic above.

Oh, your so cute, you make me want to have a baby. Except I would be the woman that gains like 50 pounds....I have no control, that is why I run.

okay, every time I see a picture of you, I always say "man she's cute. girl next door look." i can't wait until you're pregnant. Your baby will be gorgeous. ...and I TOTALLY have no control. I eat and eat and eat and eat. I eat a large pizza in one sitting, no problem, and THAT is why I have to run as well. I gained 48lbs last time. 8O

Always are the 2nd time around, your baby bump is so cute and I bet you have that lovely pregnant radiant glow to go with the cute bump too.

Look forward too to more belly growing photos, always adorable to see you blooming as bubbie grows. :D
Stay healthy I'm betting for a boy
:lmt: Still thinking.
i won't even try to guess but it's so nice to have a happy event to look forward to!!! There have been so many sad days here on the forum in the last months it's great to have something joyful to think about!!!
I'm terrible at guessing these things, I'm almost always wrong. But, you do look absolutely adorable!! I'm glad things are going so well for you. It's so exciting to be expecting a new addition. :D
I'm going for a girl, just to torture you! 8)

I was wondering if we would get any pictures this time around! No matter what you think, I think it's cute (the belly!). And at least it's starting to look like a pg belly, so people won't just think it's the large pizzas you've been eating!
I say!!! a Little Girl...
I'm gonna say girl, just to torture you!!! I have heard you get larger faster with the 2nd and subsequent babies. As far as I'm concerned, any size is beautiful if it means a healthy baby!!!:ghug:

One good thing about being pg is no matter how much you eat, the middle stays hard as a rock. ...just gets bigger and you chance those stretch marks, but I don't get concerned with what I don't presently see. /knock on wood

hahahahaha.....im gonna say a girl cause im still hoping for at least a darcy middle name.....
I'm going to guess a girl!!! :D

Some useless information:An ancient practice would have one determine the sex of their baby by holding a crystal (natural) stone on a chain/rope above the belly. You hold this rope or chain right above the belly and try and keep it as still as possible. If the stone moves back and forth left to right it's a boy, and if it moves in a circle it's a girl!

who knows! I didn't come up with it...lol

WAIT! I'VE GOT THE SOLUTION!!!

Daron for a boy,
Ronda for a girl!

That is the most sensible solution so far..... 8)
Miss J you always look so good!

Me I'm thinking you're going to have a boy. Either way, I know with his/her good looking parents that baby is going to be as adorable as baby J.

I get to be honorary auntie okay?

Marianne
Hi first thought came to my mind is boy I'm so happy for you - I'm bigger than you only I'm not pregnant

OF COURSE! What an honor for the little bean. :P
I'm not guessing, I just pray she is healthy.
Just going by the odds, I'm guessing a boy (but hoping for a girl!!)
I'm going to guess a boy....
What a cute baby bump!! I never gained more than 14 pounds with any of my pregnancies, but after I quit breastfeeding, i sure made up for it... and then some

WOW! that's amazing. I'm almost up to 14lbs gained already. Tomorrow is my cheat day too. I'll figure out what I'm eating when tomorrow comes and my cravings have decided for me. It'll most likely be PIZZA!!!!!
Darcy,

Did you notice she didn't even dignify our negotiated settlement by responding?

Ron.
The boy name has already been decided on 8)
The girl middle name is still ify though.
oh yeah, ron, i noticed IMMEDIATELY!!

L, humor us just a little, will ya
OH, Jo, the cute belly is... well, cute!

Be glad lil J wasn't twins! My abdominal muscles actually split vertically down the middle with deliveryof the girls, and have never been the same. When I got pregnant with Travis 2 yrs later, I was in maternity clothes by 4 months.
And, I should have probably been in them sooner, but I was in denial that I actually was pregnant in the beginning (hubby in college, having little 2 yr old twins already.... )

I think a boy, but sometimes I think a girl. Hmmmm

well, since you can't quite put all our names for a middle girl's name, how about some reference to sheepdogs? Something like Jasmine Wigglebutt J......lol:   Fluffer?, Sheepie,?
Well, my midwife nurse said she wasn't qualified to tell if there was a thingy or not. :( I tried hard to find it myself but the baby wasn't moving at all to help. For some reason they have a hard time finding the heartbeat. They couldn't this time or last. We saw it on the ultrasound though, so I'm happy.

Heartbeat was 140. So if the old wives tale holds up, that's a boy.
Old wives tale being anything below 160 is a boy.
However, Mr. J and lil J stayed 168-170's throughout the entire pregnancy and turned out to be boys, so it's not really true. Now I don't find out the gender until Sep 14th. Not a biggie. The later, the better since I'm trying not to tell my husband until he comes home.

That would be hysterical. Can you imagine her trying to explain this to her friends? ...or the complex she'd have with a middle name like wigglebutt?

((shudder))
You must have been in chat when I talked about my round ligament pains. I can't imagine them anything worse than they are now (already wear something to hold up my uterus), so I totally bow down to anyone who had two beans inside of them. OUCHIE!
just because I'm SUPER excited.... just wanted to say 9 more days!!! Actually seems like a longer weight now that I've typed it out. :( But having to wait over a month since my last appt, I am just glad it's in the single digits!

Im now crossing fingers for a little GIRL, Joah, after spending the summer looking at baby clothes at all the fairs.....MUCH cuter girl stuff out there (at least in the hand made/ Alaskan artist stuff) than boys :?

My favorites: pink onesies printed with "Alaska Girls Kick Ass", or "Bad Girls of the North" 8)
ravenmoonart wrote:

Here is still wishing you a lil girl, RONDAH
I'm excited for you! I wish I had a better "guesstimator". I am hoping for a girl for variety but two boys would be a wild time!!!
ravenmoonart, those are so cute!! I've seen them (or at least similar ones) at the Wildberry Factory!!! If I go there to get one it would have to be before lil J learns to read.

My gut is getting stronger and stronger to what the gender is...
I'm so nervous the baby won't show its important parts! My husband called today to see if I had my appt. I said, "IF YOU READ YOUR DANG EMAILS, I SAID THE 14th!!!" I guess he's excited too.
EEEEKKKK!!!! I'm so, so excited for you! I can remember what a thrill it was to see Nate on the ultrasound. I hope your tech takes lots of pics for you... then you can share them and we can all wonder if that is a nose or an elbow! Are you feeling lots of movement yet?
Yes to moving.. since about 11 or so weeks! A lot sooner this time than the last. Strong kicks started a few weeks ago though. I wouldn't say this one is as active as lil J though. This bean is more conservative about it all (so far). 8)
I can't wait for your ultrasound. I still remember Hayley's like it was yesterday. My parents, Billy and Ryan were all in this tiny room.
I was saying how I wanted a girl and Billy saying he wanted a boy. The tech turned to my parents and said, How would you feel about a Granddaughter? Both of my parents said "They'd love it!" The Tech says, "Well you got one!"
I started crying. I couldn't wait to call my Grandmother and tell her she was finally getting a Great Granddaughter after having 3 Great Grandson's. I was her last hope.
Okay, I'm changing my mind. I just 'knew' that my friend was having a boy (her first was a girl) and she ended up having another girl. So I think you are going to have another boy!
hehehe :)

7 days!
teaser!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
one week, one week!!! :D
One of each.

Oh my gosh, I saw this today and now I really can't wait to shop!! 5 more days!!!

Sheepdog Jacket, BUT if you look to the right after it's fully loaded, you can see sheepdog hat and booties that are way too cute! The booties even have a left eye patch like Yuki.

http://www.gymboree.com/shop/dept_item. ... Selected=0
Very cute. I sent the link to my LeAnne too!
Just get one of each! ;)
hehe, well due to color, it really could be for boy or girl! I really just like the sheepdog shoes and hat. I think infants should be in their correct color (blue or pink). WAY too many people ask "is it a boy or a girl," so I think it makes it easier. Of course people still ask even when they are in blue at times!

So far in my shopping cart, I've got $100 worth of infant boy stuff and $100 worth of girl stuff (sale rack stuff only). I just have to delete one or the other friday, and still get to use my 20% additional coupon saving + 5% for using gymboree credit card.

:yay:
Hi J

Hope you are ok? i think it is gonna be a little girl

wendy and gismo
Ok! That sheepdog outfit is absolutely TO DIE FOR!!!! And just think if you buy it for your little one, they'll outgrow it and then you can send it down to MN for me!

Normaly I agree. With teeny weenies, it can be really hard to figure out if it is a boy or girl. I do admit to hanging on to an outfit my mom bought for Nate though. It's a little froggie outfit, with a frog on the behind, and a froggie cap... even if #2 ends up being a girl, I'm still going to have her wear it. It was too cute to return! Besides frogs aren't JUST for boys, right??? (I'm still salavating over the "someday I'll demand a pony" onsie I saw at fleet farm).
Outfits with cute animals or hanging ears/tails are exceptions! :D

I am so pumped that tomorrow when I wake up, it'll only be 3 days!!

Here is the lowdown from my baby board of mommies delivering the same month so far:

**PINK TEAM: 53 babies

**BLUE TEAM: 65 babies

**SURPRISE TEAM: (14)

**UNKNOWN TEAM: (7)

At one point, blue team was ahead by like 20.
What do you get when you combine pink AND blue?
Don't wish some alien on us. I'm already scared to death what they'll tell me on Friday. That's when they do measurements to see what is/isn't there and what looks abnormal.
I was just asking in terms of the teams.... that would be for fraternal twins of opposite sex.

[ducking]
I never wanted to know, it was just surprise me when they pop out.

9 months of guessing we had a lot of fun and old wives tales to guess the sex.

As long as it is healthy with 10 fingers and 10 toes wether there is a little hose as well or not really does not matter.

Still thinking girl for you though, only because you have lil J  If it is a boy just awesome too. No dating problems later in life then with dad and the shotgun and screening the boyfriends then
lisa, all I care about with this one... honestly... is its healthy. I am so worried. For some reason when everyone said that's all I should care about with lil J.......... I didn't. My gut just felt at ease with everything, so I was ONLY concerned about the sex. My entire family has me nervous from their words (though they mean well).

In case no one knew... TOMORROW IS WEDNESDAY!! Almost there!

I just got back from the hospital actually. Took lil J. He's going on 21 months now and still doesn't talk. Not a word .....other than baba (pacifier). Was a useless appt since you can't determine anything from someone who doesn't physically look sick, but I did get a referral again for Early Intervention. The group that comes to your house with specialists to try to help your kid one-on-one, and to determine if he has a bigger problem (such as autism). Ughhhhhhhhhh, I just want the snot to talk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Joahaeyo wrote:

Be careful what you wish for! :D

He may just not have anything to say yet. ;)
One of my friends had a child that was quite old by the time he started talking. He just wouldn't talk. Then all of a sudden he was talking in complete amazing sentences. Hopefully it is just something like that and not a worse problem. :)
Early intervention is the best thing to do. We had 5 sessions a week for Ryan starting at 18 months old until he started preschool at 3 yrs old (he then received the therapy at school.) Ryan had Speech, Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy. If I remember correctly the speech was only once a week the OT and PT were twice a week.
The speech therapy will help Lil J a lot. We have had some great speech therapist. They make learning so fun. The extra help will also help him catch up. My nephew who is 27 Months only says a few words. My Niece is not concerned about him in the least.
I still remember when Ryan didn't talk. Now he's a blabber mouth.

Jake was the same way. He talks way too much now at 6! lol He's been in speech therapy for 4 years now, and although he's still in it, it's for pronunciation of sounds rather than him not talking now. :)

Oh and good luck tomorrow!
2 more days Jo! Don't forget faux Auntie K wants to see lots of those ultrasound pics!!! :D Try not to worry, and just enjoy every day you have with your bean!!! Every kick and wiggle is precious! I'll keep saying that to you, and you'll have a beautiful baby (girl  ) in February! Then you can cheer me on when I get pregnant and go completely out of my mind with worry!

In the meantime good luck with Lil J's speech therapy. Have they given you any pointers to help out while you wait for the specialst to see him?
J--try not to worry. I know that's impossible, but there's nothing you can do and worrying won't help anything.

As for lil J--my little brother didn't really speak for the longest time. I think my mom said that until he was like 2 or 3 he didn't say anything...then he was SO annoying and hasn't stopped since...Kids are all different when they do things...
Thanks for the pm's ladies! All the replies are reassuring, but you can't help but worry b/c you want your kid at the same point as everyone else!!

Tomorrow will be the longest day ever!! When I wake up, I'll be down to ONE MORE DAY!!!!!

I know I've mentioned that i've told my husband the date 100 times. Even wrote him Monday and started to do the countdown (as I do here). He wrote me today telling me he thought the u/s was today. Oh well, I love him anyway.
One more day!!!! Hoorah!

Is your ob going to make you do your ultrasound with a full bladder? They had me do that so they could measure some lady parts on the ultrasound... It was excrutiating! I had to drink all this ice tea to get ready. Then I'm sitting on the bed watching the monitor absolutely miserable cause I needed to pee SO BAD!!!  Thanks heaven they let me take a quick break in the middle!

Anyhow, that's my funny ultrasound story. Good luck!
I remember going through that the first time. hehe I just pee as needed. It's not a biggie :)

...just keep drinking water :D
I've had to do that 100 times for other medical problems. I plan on drinking soda on the way there. They say no carbonated beverages but I hear sometimes baby will move too much, so measurements are hard. In that case, I will just have to come back, but I'm insured I at least get the sex!!!!! With that said, this baby is lazy compared to lil J, so he/she needs all the help it can get! I've never seen it move on the u/s unless we poke and poke. lol
Is it not Friday yet??? It's taking too long to get here!! :D
It's Friday - good luck!!!! :D :D

I can't wait! My friend just found out yesterday that she's having a boy...
OOPs - darn night shifts!!!!
8O
This morning went by faster than I thought but everything is in slow motion now. My husband wrote an email saying he couldn't wait to find out and he hopes we have 4 kids. Who the heck is he having these kids with? And who the heck does he think will be watching these rugrats? I guess being a southern man, he really does feel I should always be barefoot in the kitchen.
Maybe he can give birth to the next 2! 4 kids is a lot, but that would be nice. You can get a live in Nanny! (My grandma had 12, all separate births...crazy!! I don't know how that worked though)

Good luck with your appointment tomorrow!! I was thinking today that 20 weeks is a long time to have to wait to find out the sex, but I guess it's better than 9 months! Also, I have to tell you, I know you've posted how to pronounce your name before, but in my head I still just say it "Juh-ho-eee" lol
 That's hysterical. It's Joah-aye-oh, but whatever works for you ;)
Tell hubby next two he can get at WalMart.

Hey that was my prediction in the first post (Quads) I am with Mr.J 4 kids 2 of each then we are all correct in guessing the sex

A friend of mine had twins, that was bad enough 8O So here is wishing you double double trouble

Not really :P Nearly friday night here, now if you were living here J, you would of known by now. 8)
Wooohoooo....it's finally FRIDAY!!!! :excited: What time is the appointment?? :excited:
You beat me Tammy -

It's really Friday now!!!!

Good luck!!
Good luck Jo. Can't wait to hear from you, and see the U.S. pics. Gosh... I hope the printer works 8O :excited: Baby baby baby! Gotta remind myself she is about 3 time zones behind me. I wonder if she's even AWAKE yet?

ok, I'm now impatiently tapping my fingers waiting for Jo to have her appt.
