Pirate the kitchen towel thief

Pirate has a new game...and its driving me and Keira crazy. He (gently and quietly) steals kitchen towels off the oven door handle. Then he takes them, and puts them on Keira's head!

He never chews them up, or destroys them...just gently puts them on her head!

What the heck?????!!!!!!!!!

Bella steals the towel and just walks around with it. When you scold her she drops it and gives you this look like "How did that get there?" Along with the "I'm soo cute, that you love me anyway." I think it's why sheepies are hard to train, they make you laugh at the point you're trying to be serious.
Yepper...Pirate gets that "innocent" look too. If I catch him taking the towel and say something, he looks surprised and leaves it and walks away.

They sure know how to play us!
ah he just thinks Keira needs a hat
Heehee! I want to see a video of that sneaky Pirate!
Tony thinks that Pirate thinks that Keira is his little dolly, and he's dressing her.

I think he's just being a big, annoying brother!

Ditto for Callie.

That's hilarious that Pirate puts them on Keira's head!
I have no idea what he might be thinking when he does this, but it sounds hilarious. It really does seem like annoying little brother behavior.
hmmmmm :lmt: maybe Pirate thinks Kiera should be helping with the household chores a little more often?  He's just encouraging her to start drying the dishes? 8)
That sounds adorable. :hearts:
That sounds so adorable. Carley steels them off the counter. Sometimes she tries to hide them in the cats crate so that we think she took it. She also takes the towel out of the cats crate and hides it. What can I say. You gotta love em.
no clue as to why he's doing this, but...
Bear used to pull every towel off the rod in the house, I assume, just to get the satisfaction of seeing them fall to floor. It wasn't until i read your post that I had realized that he had stopped doing it!
You HAVE to get a picture of that!! That's SO funny!
OMG Deb, that is so funny!!
Yes I agree we need pictures or better yet...video :D
I sat here trying to figure out what reason Pirate could have but guess what... I have no clue, but it sounds hilarious. We need pictures!
I tried to take a picture, but apparently, this is a morning activity....I'll be ready tomorrow morning!
Getting the towel is one thing...but putting it on Keira's head? Playing dress-up??? OK....

Heart has taken by husband's shirt and "carries" it to her tuffet (if you could call a 12 pound pup dragging and "stepping" on it as she walks, carrying  ) Guess I better start closing the bedroom door.

Can't wait for pics....

I had the camera out and ready to go this am. Pirate quietly took his towel and headed for Keira. MY HUSBAND PUT THE CAMERA AWAY :excited:

I got it and aimed, and as I was getting ready to take the picture, Keira saw the camera and stood up to pose! What a ham!

I'll try again tomorrow.
You may remember these posts about Pirate stealing towels and putting them on Keira. Well, he still is a towel "Pirate", but he stopped the dressing Keira thing.

Last night, I had to lay flat on the living room floor to help my back. I was laying there peacefully, and felt something fall on my face. Yes, Pirate was draping me in kitchen towels.

I ended up with 3 of on me before I'd had enough.

I really wish I knew what that means to him!
Ha ha ha ha!
Adorable! It's great that he shares with her.

Tracie et al...
Now do the tea towels need washing? Perhaps its a way of helping? Summer cant reach our towels any more unless I forget. All my tea towels have holes in them now but they are very clean I throw at least 2 in the washing every day, as they get covered in dog slobber!
I told my daughter about this, and she said, maybe he knows his mom doesn't feel well....so he's tucking you in!
Jackson does this same thing, only to my cat Skinny!!! She has been a big fan of kitchen towels (and only kitchen towels, no bath towels) since she was very little and about two days ago started bringing them to Skinny and dropping them on/near her. It's only been going on a few days but I've seen her do it 3-4 times already!!! Weird.....my husband and I tell people that we don't have television because our animals are more than enough entertainment for us!!
:D I laughed out loud at the dish towel! Willoughby drops his stuffies on my head when I'm on the floor doing my back exercises!
