I just read a couple of advertisements in a Dog Magazine for Dental Sprays and gels (all natural ) that guarantee to keep your dog's teeth clean. Also, I have seen one for an additive that you add to the dog's drinking water. I'm alittle skeptical, any opinions?
Were they talking about oravet? I have always heard it works GREAT, but the problem MOST people (according to my vet) have with it is it doesn't stay on so it's a wasted application. I have it, and have the same problem. Oravet is a wax you apply to their teeth to prevent tartar from sticking/building up.

The same company also has a spray/mouthwash you spray on their teeth after each meal. I find these and the liquids you put in your water VERY helpful. I notice instant changes ...at least in breath.
No that wasn't the product. However, I may check into the spray and the one you put in the drinking water, given that it works, and seems to be endorsed by your vet. Where and how can I purchase it?

The products I saw advertised included a spray and gel under the name, PetzLife and a second product (spray) under the name of LEBA III.
Any word on those?

Thanks so much.
The mouthwash was actually called Virbac (C.E.T. Home Dental Care - Oral Hygiene Rinse for Dogs and Cats) can usually be found at your vet office. If you're in a small town/city, some places haven't quite gotten the product yet. My vet loves this stuff. You just spray it on their teeth (has like a squirter).

However, you can get the liquid you put in their water at any pet store. My SIL has some super duper one that cost around $50 a bottle, and it's supposed to significantly reduce tartar. Sorry I don't know the name of it. I find good results with the cheap ones from the pet store, so I have never bothered to ask her.
