Welcome to the forum and good luck with your new puppy.

Do you have a name picked out yet? When you have pictures, don't forget to post them. I have not been a member very long but I can tell you that this is the place to be if you need any advice or information.

I would suggest that you go through all the different "forums" and just read, read, read. That is what I have been doing. Everytime I have any problems or questions I have always found a post about it --

I just got my new sheepie puppy, 8 week old, Heart, on Monday. I am a little sleep deprived but having a ball :D :D :D

Hi!

What advice do you need? I think there has been a discussion on what you need for a new puppy somewhere, is that what you're looking for?

WELCOME to the forum!
well thks for the advice , acctually one of thing that im concerned about is that my house has a lot of steps, i mean its builted in plataforms so you have to go trough a lot of steps to get from one point to another.. my question is this... is that too much exercise for a puppy?
Some people say that a young puppy should not go on stairs. I will leave this for someone more knowledgeable than me to say if that is true or not and if so, why.
Depending how young your puppy will be when you get him/her, most likely it will be reluctant to use the stairs for a while. So you will be doing some carrying, just like a baby.

If your steps are carpeted, your sheepdog will eventually navigate them well. If they are wood and do not have any kind of tread on them, I suggest putting some kind of tread or carpet patches on them. This will especially be helpful in senior years.

Please make sure you keep the hair out of the eyes, nails trimmed and cut the hair between the pads to make navigating easy.

Good luck with your pup. I hope you post photos.
