SHAGGY DOGS NEED IMMEDIATE HELP!
Hi Sue, YES, Please crosspost anywhere, far and wide ! At this point it is likely I can "only" commit to one if donaters can be found for boarding. I am taped out due to Elvis' surgery. I can pay for the vetting if he comes to OES&FR. Thanks for all your help. L Hi Sue, Bingo is the dog at PCAS in Kingwood WV. He is urgent the shelter is full his hold date for owner reclaim expires Mon, July 30th. He can be fully vetted for under $150 but he needs a place to go, I am full up with a 9 yr senior and a puppy with a broken leg, neither are going anywhere fast. I am hoping to find some folks to donate for at least 3 weeks of boarding. Not one person of course but as many as we canfind. I am also begging all my foster people, so far no luck. Ben’s breed(s) are unknown, we have him listed as the following; Wheaten, Beardie, Portuguese Water Dog and Kerry Blue Terrier. The shelter reports Ben is sweet, loving and very friendly. Came in as a stray. He was just shaved down, see pictures below. Ben can be fully vetted through the shelter on Monday the 30th or Tuesday 31st and brought to either the Mt. Morris, PA area or Pittsburgh, PA on Wednesday Aug 1st during the daytime. If we don’t commit to him by Sunday afternoon, he will be euthanized. The problem you ask, WE don’t have space. He is in a very high kill rural WV shelter in Phillipi WV. Our rescue, Olde English Sheepdogs and Friends Rescue (OES&FR) in Pittsburgh, PA, desperately wants to find Ben a foster or furever home. We will agree to take Ben if we can find any generous people willing to sponsor his boarding. We have the funds to pay for the full vetting but boarding funds are wiped out. We can board Ben in Pittsburgh for $10 a day, that is $70 a week, we would likely need at least 3 weeks of boarding to allow us time to find a foster family.
