Potty problems and OES bottoms

I now have two OES one year olds and had my little Echo until Mother's Day and all three of them have, at one time, had a problem with getting their potty to come all the way out. It's pretty gross, but they walk around the yard all hunched up just waiting for that last bit to drop, but it just balls up and clogs their butts. Then, their bottom, which you usually can't even see it you get in there and look for it, gets irritated of course. Both puppies have short hair right now and when this happens, I squirt their butts with water and pick out the nasty bits. Right before Echo had to be put down, I had left my husband with the dogs for a week while I visited my mother who was having surgery, and not knowing and not wanting to touch potty, my husband either didn't notice or didn't want to look to see why Echo was having potty problems and Echo's little bottom was inflamed and he had maggots inside and out as a result of somebody not being there to unclog his bottom and clean it. It was a nasty experience for everybody, especially poor little Echo and I don't want that to happen to these boys. Does anybody else have potty problems with their OES?

There are usually two things that cause potty problems like you described... the hair around the backend being too long so the poop can't drop and/or being on a dog food that causes too loose a stool.

I do not groom for show... I think I should state that first!
I take electric clippers and shave a little beyond the anus and leave just below it slightly longer so the "dropping" can actually drop instead of clinging to anything on their way to the ground. The darn stuff can cling if there's hair there.

If you're still having problems despite the area being clear, you might need to try a few different foods to find one that make a firmer stool. Before we settled on Eagle Pack Holistic Select, we found that Nutro dry food made for a very firm stool.

Just some things to consider... others will be able to add more.
Thanks, I'll try to trim a little more hair I guess. I am feeding Innova large breed puppy, but I'm thinking that they're eating goat potty too. Whenever I see loose potty, I mix in some cooked white rice. I used to feed Nutro.

I suppose goat potty could also effect the consistency
Mine go for rabbit and bird droppings
