Blogging

My sister just started a blog for Hercules (Oliver's cousin, an airedale terrior). It is pretty funny!

Does anyone have a blog for their OES?

Hi Hercules is so cute. I never heard of a Blog :)
I know "blogging" is the latest craze and "everyone" is doing it but I just DON'T GET IT  I'm on a knitting forum where everyone, absolutely EVERYONE has a blog and people are always linking their threads to their blogs.

BUT, I don't have enough time to keep track of MY OWN LIFE much less someone elses'. sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I think of a blog as something akin to an open diary and soapbox combined.

It is a place where family and friends can check in on your daily (or monthly or whatever) life's goings on and comment back to you about them. It's a place where you cant rail against the world, tilt against those windmills or look for grass roots support for your Presidential ambitions.

I have been looking into providing a Wordpress blog here, linked to the forum and from all of your posts for every interested member. I think of it as being similar to your photo album camera icon link.

In an oes.org hosted blog you'd be in charge of your own page(s). You can tell the world what you think about anything, edit it with whatever (as long as it stays family friendly). You could edit a memorial page for your dearly departed friend.

Does that interest anyone?
I actually have been working with blogs as research for the past several years and have presented on them at a few conferences (in context of my "day job"). However, I've been sketching out some plans for an OES blog which is just under construction. Perhaps in a few weeks, once there is some content and more organization, I'll share.

I have to admit that I love Hercules blog though! So cute.
Can I count that as a "yes" then? :D :D :D
