I don't know why, but it does seem to come in 3's.
Today my parents and I went to the Beach with the kids. A HUGE wave took Mom, Dad and Ryan down, then Hayley and I. Then Mom couldn't get up and her water shoes were falling off. So I tried to help and down, Hayley and I go again.
Then Dad and Ryan get taken down again. My Dad was on his back with his head facing an fast approaching Huge wave and Ryan is also on the ground. So again I try to help. I went down again and someone landed hard on my ankle. It is sprained.

Ryan got either a black eye or got stung by something under his eye yesterday... it is totally swollen.

Then my lovely A/C in the car went out yesterday.
I am so sorry Elissa. That sounds s awful
I dunno about the 3 thing....but OUR particular "bad luck" superstition (and it always seem to hold true) is that for one of our shows to go well (financially) There HAS to be a certain amount of catastrophe during the preparation 8O . The worse the prep and set up...the better the fair. We refer to it as "The fair gods demanding blood sacrifice."

So far for this one: My frame shop miscut a BUNCH of my frames  I forgot to get enough acrylic (used in place of glass on the largest pieces) for all the big images...Scott still needs to refinish an antique frame that one very large piece goes into, and it wont stop RAINING!!! (the refinishing has to be done outdoors) And my knee that I injured weeks ago started to hurt like murder yesterday, and the likelihood is that I have a bone or cartilage splinter still in there 8O .

Ok, then....gonna have a good show!
Sometimes people have one bad thing happen and actually look forward (in a twisted way ) for two more bad things to happen to end the cycle.

Then they can relax for awhile :D and start all over.

Sorry about your accidents, Deana. Screw the housework! Hope you're feeling better soon! 8)
UPDATE: After a trip to the E.R. after Ryan's eye continued to swell we found out that he was having a localized allergic reaction to a bug bite.
Some Benadryl and he'll be fine.

We gave him a 24 hr Claritin yesterday so I had to wait until this morning to give him a Benadryl. I hope it starts working soon.
Oh my gosh, that poor boy. That looks horrible! :( Hugs to him.....

Was it a certain bug that caused that?
Most likely a Bee, since that is the same reaction he gets with a Bee sting.
Though we didn't see it happen, so we can't be sure what it was. The Dr said it was a mild localized allergic reaction to a possible bug bite or sting.
He's never been stung on the face before. He usually gets stung on his hands, when he's playing with them.
Luckily it is only a localized reaction and doesn't affect his breathing or cause other problems.
Oh my gosh, poor Ryan!!!

Hope he has a "swelling-free" rest of his summer! 8O
The swelling is down to half the size today.... thankfully!!!
Thank you for the update on Ryan, Elissa. I was wondering how he was doing. :D
Oh my!
