Maxamillion - 1 year

A year has past since Max crossed over rainbow bridge and our family still misses him.

Max was our Flat Coat / Newfounland mix that we resuced. He was found during a blizzard in PA and no-one claimed him. He however claimed our hearts and we still laugh at his various misdeeds. My favorite was coming home one day to find a small trash can cover stuck on this head. Max loved kleenex from so in my efforts to keep him out of the trash I purchased a small trash can with a swinging lid. I thought it was small enough to keep is nose out but he proved me wrong. The sight was made even funnier by the look on his face. He was trying for the innocent look with the evidence still stuck around his neck.

We named him Maxamillion because we thought he would be a "1 in a million" dog. He lived up to his name in more ways than I can say.

We love Max!

He sounds like he was a wonderful dog!
He will always be alive in your heart.

Our German Shepherd got caught with a swinging garbage lid on his head. We have pictures. He passed in 2006. :(
He sounds like Abbott, our Newfie or Newfie x Flat Coat.......people couldn't make up their minds. He wasn't as "fluffy" as a Newf, but had the mass. He was a goof of the first order! Found Christmas Even walking the streets of lower downtown Denver, a relative saw him and invited him for a ride. They couldn't keep such a big dog so called us. We were on our way to Denver before the sssss in YES ended.

Max and Abbott are surely playing games together at the Rainbow Bridge.
Thanks for the story--made me chuckle this morning. I love his name and it sounded like it fit him perfectly. I'm sorry you had to lose Max, but I'm glad you can smile at his memories.
