ear plucking

first time for everything....I have been trying to brush my pup...he hates it and bites me and the brush...but I keep trying...today at the Vet we experienced ear plucking....I had read the essay on ear cleaning....I had cleaned but not plucked...I will now pluck....OH the joys of an OES

If it makes you feel better, it's not just OES that need it. A lot of long haired breeds with floppy ears need it. I have a Komondor that needs it regularly and, for even more fun, if you don't do a Komondor's ears, they'll form cords in there and really gum up the works!

Some dogs barely need plucking though. My OES gets very little hair and I find the best ear maintenance with him is little to no maintenance. My Kom, though, I've got my fingers in there every chance I get. I wish I could just Nair him!
