Liability Insurance for Clubs

We have been advised that St. Louis Old English Sheepdog Club should have liability insurance. I've been in contact with local clubs and found that AKC recommends Equisure Liability insurance: $1 million for annual premium of $600. Hartford offers $500,000 for $200 for up to 25 members.

Could those of you who may belong to a local club, specialty or other type, advise us on what your club does; If they carry Liability Ins., who the carrior is and maybe a contact person, or agent.

Thanks for your help.

If the officers all carry their own personal liability insurances (homeowners and/or umberlla policies) I don't know that a small club should be that concerned.

Talk to your PERSONAL insurance agent first to see if your own personal insurances cover you, THEN ask him/her about the club's situation. :D :D :D

I have a feeling that if you ask in the other order you will get two very different answers.
