Showtime Rotisserie

Does anyone have a showtime rotisseri?? I have one but don't seem to use it as much as I would like. Love a whole chicken and prime rib, but very little else.

Joan and I always wanted one of those. Especially for the motorhome!

We checked them out in the store and decided they were too "rattly" to carry around.... rattles drive me nuts. Can you imagine driving your home down the road and nothing rattles?

That's my motorhome!

Anyway, at home there is limited storage and counter space. If we ever actually build the pantry, for which the door frame and a piece of lumber are in our kitchen, maybe we'll buy one then. (The pocket doorframe and the stick of lumber have been leaning in the corner for more than one year now. Time to build or reclaim that corner! )
Ron, there are so many kinds of showtimes. I had to look for some time to find the best one. The wattes and timer and size are all different. Mine I have had for 8 yrs. it does not say set it forget it. mine is the mid size and is ditigtal. I can set it for the time I want. I love it but think I would like more uses. My fault. I put it out on our deck in the summer so it does not heat up the house. The whole chicken is yummy and all the fat drips out on the tray. So tender and I use a
injector to add flavor at times.

ther is a small, med, and large size.

That's the problem with so many stand alone or counter top appliances, they heat up the kitchen. Fine in winter but not in summer. Plus you have to use them often to offset the counter or cabinet space they take up. Had a rotissere and found it fine for cooking but got tired of cleaning it.
yup, we dont use our oven in the summer time...house gets way too hot....i use my huge cuisinart toaster oven on the patio.......

i have never figured out how to use the rotissere attachment for the grill so i either butterfly it and stick it directly on the grill or better yet go costco and buy one already cooked!
YES, we have one! :D
I bought it for hubby about 4 yrs ago.
He says it works great! He LOVES it. Just set it and forget it.
It's really cool how you can but the veggies in the tray on top.
All the food we have made there has been delicious!! Mmmm

The only thing is it is a bit of a pain to clean.
But he has been told since that you should spray the spit and the drip pain before you start cooking the clean up should be a breeze. It is also recommended that you use foil in the bottom of the catch tray so clean up is easier.
Good idea with the foil in the tray. It is always full of the dripping grease.
Thanks

Oops left out that you should spray it with a Non stick cooking spray...lol
Hadn't had my coffee yet.
