Chummie is da Boss

I was up in my home office working when I heard Maggie whimpering downstairs. This is unusual for her. I went down to check. Maggie was stuck in the hallway because Chummie was lying all sprawled out blocking the way and Maggie was afraid to go past her.

Poor baby.

I started to laugh. Maggie then jumped over Chum and escaped.

When I first got Maggie, I spent alot of time wondering who was dominant. At this point, it is completely clear that Chum rules the roost. She has first claim to treats and Maggie often waits for Chum to finish eating before Maggie starts.

For an old feeble dog, Chum is very assertive. 8)

That's a familiar situation. If Lucy is lying in front of stairs, Clyde will just stand there and Bear will yelp and get all upset. Usually Clyde will wait awhile, get frustrated and then bravely squeeze through but Bear will stay downstairs and bark, all upset. I usually have to come down and coax him through. Then Lucy will bark right in his face and he takes off up the stairs like he just got smacked!

Our old ladies still rule the roost. :)
Pretty darn funny!

Frank whimpers when Rebecca is blocking his way too.
I think it is funny that the only sheepie that has absolutely no fear and will walk all over the other dogs is of course...London.

As far as Chummie being the boss - of course she is.
Queen of her realm, you go girl, keep those younger whipa snippers in there place.
This is too funny. Don't any of you have video cameras? I just love when sheepies are wimpy!
Violet will do the same thing to China...she'll lay right in front of the doggy door so China can't go out an do her business. Violet will lay right in front of my bedroom door so China can't come in and see me. If Violet will fall a sleep..I've watched China jump over her to get to where I am, but China has also talked in a crying voice to be let by. When I catch Violet doing this, I make her get up and get out of the way and lay somewhere else.
Way to go Chummie~!!!!!!!!!!!!
haha! Chummie....you are a hoot! :D
hmmmm.... I wonder if the barking was for Chummie for some reason, given her recent medical issues discussed elsewhere? Just a thought.
Sweet thought but I don't think so. Maggie looked so relieved to see me and then she leapt over Chum to go up to the office where I was working. I think she was just trapped.

Maggie is being really extra nice to Chum though. Especially with food and treats.
Old age and treachery wins over youth and agility any day.
I have that same situation here at home with SamSun and my blue tick hound Jack. When he comes in SamSun lets Jack know that he is head of the house. But when SamSun goes outside in Jack's territory, he is absolutely scared to death of Jack. LOL!
Haha...very funny Chummie!!!

Chelsea really wants nothing to do with Matisse most of the time, so if he's in the way, she'll look at me like..."can you get rid of this thing, please so I can have my space back?"
