MI - 2 yr old male OES

Check this guy out! Is he the cutest thing or what?! :)
Anyone in MI looking for a sweet Sheepie boy?

Clifford
Dog
Sheep Dog

Size: Large
Age: Young
Sex: Male
I.D:

Notes: Clifford will be available for adoption on 9-2 if not claimed by owner. He's a lively, active boy who knows the sit command, but doesn't stay that way for too long! He would rather be up on 2 feet trying to get petted. Friendly, outgoing personality. White, gray fur. About 2 years old. :)

I am! I am!

I just called and Clifford's folks claimed him. I'm happy for him, but sad for me. Guess I'll keep looking.

Hi, there are two oes currently for adoption on the petfinder that are located in MI. Check 'em out!
I am SO happy that his owners claimed him! Keep looking, Jill. The right one will come along for you! I waited for what seemed like forever to find an OES in MN. and one day I found her on PetFinder! She was in a shelter only miles from my house! I believe it was a "God thing" as she is such an angel!

I've had my eye on Wiley for a while. I just think he's a DOLL! I would REALLY like to adopt a male. I was just hoping to find one that doesn't look identical to my Maggy! If Wiley is on much longer, I am going to put in an application for him to see if it might be "meant to be". ;)

And Carly is new to PetFinder. I wish they'd show her pretty lil' face. I believe her pic is coming after the Labor Day weekend!

Good luck in your Sheepie search! :)

I actually drove out to Muskegon, a 3-hour drive, the Saturday after Wiley was posted on Petfinder. He's a sweetie from what I could tell - he was much more interested in playing with a couple other dogs on the other side of the fence - they had a POOL - and since he's deaf, he didn't pay attention to a word I said! I'd brought my chow-mix, Kayli, so they could meet, but the shelter folk didn't want to do that right then. I did put in an application and called quite a bit for the next couple weeks, but all they could say was that they had so many applications . . . eventually I decided it just wasn't meant to be.

I'll have to check out those others on Petfinder; when it's meant to be, it will happen. I'm a firm believer in fate!

I'm glad they have a lot of applications in for Wiley. I wonder what is taking them so long to decide who he can share his life with. ??? I realize he has special needs, etc., it just seems like he's been on a long time. :(

I'm glad to hear that he is having a good time there -- just wish he would get into a forever home.

I agree with you, when it's meant to be -- it's meant to be.

Did Wiley get a chance to meet Kayli?
Nope, the shelter didn't think it was a good place for Kayli & Wiley to meet, too much stress on both of them, nd said that they'd cross that bridge if they picked my application. I would have rather they met and go from there, but whatever.

It's been at least a month since then and he's apparently still pending. Last I heard, they were still waiting to get him neutered. I get frustrated just thinking of it. He deserves a wonderful home and if there are so many applications what's taking so long?

Ah well. The right sheepie will come along for me & Kayli. Heck, I'm not even sure Kayli WANTS a sheepie! She's very protective of me and another dog may not be the best thing, which is why I'm not actively searching, just keeping an eye out.

Jil -- You're probably right! LoL! Some big sisters don't want a little brother taking away their attention. I learned that from my two-legged kids. ;)
Hey Nancy ~

Carly's picture is finally up . . . . and boy is she sweet!

My Kayli would probably do better with a male, otherwise I'd be hopping in the car right now.

Oh, what the heck . . . . I'm filling out an application!

LoL, Jil!! :D GREAT!! Let me know how it turns out!! :D Carly is ADORABLE!!
Well, Carly is pending adoption and I don't think it's me since I haven't heard back from them yet. Ah well, such is life. I'm disappointed, but there WILL be a sheepie for this house someday.

Maybe this is someone's way of telling me that Kayli deserves all my attention right now?

I think we'll go for walkies now.
