Willoughby and the squirrel

:D Walking Willoughby is an adventure when the squirrels and bunnies are out in the cemetery. He gets so excited by them that he usually pulls on his leash and actually stands on his hind feet before I can distract him. I sometimes need to hold on to a tree in the process! A few weeks ago we were out after work as usual and there wasn't a
single squirrel or bunny in sight. :phew: We walked over to the pagoda where I sometimes sit for a "cookie break" while Wiloughby sits and surveys the scene as he eats his treat. As we approached the pagoda, Willoughby smelled squirrels and made a dash, trying to climb into the pagoda through the railings. :excited: (We usually use the stairs!) One of the squirrels who was lurking above us in the rafters lost it when he looked down and saw an excited sheepdog. He lost his footing and literally fell at Willoughby's feet! The look on his little face was one of pure shock and horror! W. meantime didn't see him and continued trying to jump into the pagoda. The squirrel recovered his nerve and turning around , took off at high speed towards the nearest willow. Willoughby heard him move and looked down in time to see the squirrel disappear! I was laughing so hard I could barely hang on to him!:D :D :D
