Ice cream maker

Has anyone tried the new ice cream ball maker? I ordered one to use at my granddaughters 5th birthday party. You put the mix in a tube in the middle and the ice and salt around it. Then you roll it or toss it around until the ice cream freezes. I hope it really works. I thought it would be fun for the kids. :?

Have backup ice cream. At best it's soft serve and the flavor hasn't ripened. Still, kids will enjoy it and you'll have a way to keep them entertained  Plus it doesn't make enough!!
Sounds like fun!
The last time that we camped, the kids made "football" pudding.
Just put the mix& milk in a big ziploc& let them toss back& forth until the pudding is done!
Just a note to let you know how the ice cream making went. The kids were interested in rolling the bright colored balls for about 5 minutes. Then the older kids " alias adults" had to take over. The men turned it into a competition to see how far they could roll it down the hill. The ice cream finally got to the soft serve stage. I am not sure I will try this again.
lol--until now I had no idea you meant that the ice cream maker is in the shape of a ball that you have to move to get it to work! I thought it made balls of ice cream
