Woo hoo! No more Fatso!

I stopped in at the vet today to pick up heartworm meds for the gang. I had the boys in the car so I took Clyde in with me so I could put him on the scale. I expected him to be the same or, worse, even fatter. We've been cutting back on the treats and swapping out carrots for biscuits but I didn't really expect much to come out of it. Well, I'm happy to report that Fatty Fatty Fatpants has been downgraded to a single Fatty Fatpants. He went from 105 to 94 pounds! He's positively svelte now!

It's funny because the other day, I took this picture when he came back all puffed up from the groomer. In in the back of my mind as I looked at it, I was thinking, "Oh, no, he's fatter than ever!" Turns out it must've just been an unflattering picture. Cute, but unflattering since it doesn't show off his new hot body! :)

Ditto! :)
Good weight loss, those carrots must be working there magic.

Hot Bod Clyde. :excited:
Good to hear about the weight loss!

Clyde looks like he's smiling :D
Yay Clyde!!
Clyde, you handsome devil you :D
Way to go Clyde! I think it's a very handsome picture.

I'm glad that Bailey isn't the only plus-size sheepie boy. He was 107 when we took him to vet last month, he's been on a diet too. We're supposed to get him back down under 100. He looks at us as if we're starving him to death...

That was our goal, too-- to get him under 100. For us though, it was a lot easier because his was mainly winter weight. He's been outside and a lot more active so that helped the weight melt off. I haven't really cut his portion sizes at all and on Memorial Day, he ate 2 hamburgers, some chicken and half a pound of shrimp on top of his normal food so it's not like he hasn't had his share of "celebrations."

Yes, I know I have no one to blame for his fatness but myself.
Way to go Clyde! :clappurple:
Great news - it's the worse having to say no to those big eyes, but apparently your hard work (and his!) is paying off! 8)
Way to go!! I also had some good news when I took Jack in. And he's in short coat and I didn't notice the difference.

We haven't switched out treats, I'm just making him be outside more.....for the exercise.
Good job Clyde :high5: It's not your fault you have big hair that hides your hot bod :D
I thought his speedo was fitting him alittle better!

Mater will take that extra weight thank you! We're trying to fatten this boy up a bit.
Clyde's not fat, he's fluffy!
Barney says to tell Clyde that he's such a follower. Losing weight is SO last month.

Barney recently went from 99.9 to 89.9...so I know how good it feels to have a newly svelte dog! I'm proud of Clyde...don't listen to Barney, he can be a jerk sometimes. 8O
Jill, he looks great! Although, I still like how fatty fatty fatpants sounds better than just fatty fatpants
I love the picture. He looks fine but, you might want to keep an eye out to make sure that he stays out of the cheesy poofs.
Yay Clyde. That is good news. I love the picture of him too!
I'm yelling at Walter to take notes... he has gotten quite rotund.

Good job Clyde 8)
Way to go Clyde! Since your mom is in to name calling I think you should insist on being called HOT, HOTTY, HOTPANTS!

Those numbers remind me of gas prices of days gone by!

Congrats on all those big guys' triumphs!

Winston just got his summer shave today...and you can see his old-man flab more than ever..... LOL

Fatty Fatpants is a term of endearment! He would be my Fatty Fatpants even if he was rail thin! The extra fatty was just an adjective because, well, it was true.

Oh yes now I see. That is what I tell my kids, "Calling you DumbA** is a term of endearment"!
