HELP! Sick puppy!

my almost 4 month old sheepie has been throwing up for the past 24 hours! I took him to the vet yesterday morning and they said that nothing was abnormal with his stool sample and that his temp. was normal... they gave him a fluid pack, a shot, and gave me some antibiotics to give him...

he didn't throw up for a while but after taking him out first thing this morning i gave him a little bit of food... about 15 minutes later he threw it all up and went the bathroom on the floor... his BM was covered in yellow mucus.. but was solid..

any suggestions?? the poor little guy is so ill...

Puppies can easily become dehydrated. I would call your Vet for advice.
Since Ben has twice eatern stuff that caused an obstruction, I would keep that in the back of your mind also. Anything missing or chewed lately?

Positive thoughts for you and the pup.
I agree- please call your vet today. Since the vet has already seen him, they will know if he needs additional fluids or if he can safely wait until tomorrow to be rechecked. I hope your baby will fell better soon... please let us know how he's doing.

Don't feed him anything else today - that sounds mean but it's the best thing for him. Let him go at least 24 hours to settle his stomach down. The second day the vet usually recommends plain boiled rice. But do try to get him to drink water or chew on ice cubes. And I agree, talk to your vet as soon as you can.
I agree we just went through the dehydration bit with Breena and the vet told us not to feed or give water for 24 hours - the water pack will keep them hydrated. She was also on a tummy pill. Call the vet though- puppy may still be dehydrated and in need of another water pack.
Lisa Marie, I hope your puppy is feeling better! It is so hard to seem them sick, not knowing what is wrong, or what to do to make them feel better.
