Bosley and a Home Visit for Rescue

We did a home visit tonite, for a potential home for a husky/greyhound mix in a local rescue. It was a beautiful home in a very , VERY nice neighborhood.

Bosley was really good. Checked out the back yard, and widdled appropriately. Then came inside, gave kisses to the 2 young toddlers, then promptly jogged over to the lobby and did a "soft" BM on their mat.   I was sooo embarassed..

They rolled up the carpet and put it outside to deal with later...

Other than that, he was very well-behaved, and nudged everyone for pats, gave a paw when asked and rolled over to anyone who looked like they would give him a belly rub. He did sniff some crotches, but was very polite about it.

Then when I was getting my shoes on to leave he had his head right by the front door opening. They asked what he would do if I left without him, so we tested him.

I went out to the car to put my stuff away, and came back into the house. They were laughing, and said he remained glued to the door and there was no way he was leaving it. They were calling him and trying to get him to move and he was like a statue, totally ignoring them.. Face right up against the door, and stiff as a board...

Poor Bosley....Mommy is so mean to him.....

Don't you just want to die when they do that! That is how Kiara will sometimes greet some customers as they come into my store. I guess they are just the right height.

Poor Bosley. Maybe he thought the potential home was going to be for him!
Butt sniffing is "doggy handshaking"/glad to see you. Think about how dogs greet each other..butt sniff, hey I remember you or butt sniff, glad to meet you. While at Sheepeipalooza, we were in Doreens room and Val went to get something, walked out and you thought Maggie was going to have a coronary. She was racing around the room as if Val just hid in a corner and if she looked hard enough she would find her. Poor pooch. I guess its just doggy devotion..gotta love them.
Well someone had to test the potential adopters...he did everything a "normal" dog ould do, and waited for their reaction to give them two paws up or not.

Bosley did a perfect recruitment test...LOL
