Any way, I just decided to do a poll on seafood.....tell me about your favorite seafood dish or why you hate seafood... |
|
tuna steak and crabcakes are my all time fav............ yummy
Is tuna not seafood? I didn't vote b.c I didn't see tuna. |
I voted for all of the above - I can't pick just one!
We have fish at least once a week, but the others are mostly special occasion foods for us. Oysters, crab and lobster - love them. Now I want a special occasion! Shellie |
I love all seafood. And so does Richard. we just had loster last night!!!! love steamed clames, crab ect and most fishes. |
I like all of those but my favorite food from the sea is shrimp. |
I dont like Lobster either....must be a 'Kim' thing
I LOVE shrimp and salmon and the rest....forget it |
For the record, shrimp is the nastiest thing on earth ...right next to liver. |
I love fish but not the fishy kind. Like Tilapia or Sole. I never like Salmon until I cooked a fillet in a smoker to take away the fish taste. |
Then I take it you're not a bluefish fan... |
I like halibut. That's it. I used to like lobster when I was little but not anymore.
Lobsters, crabs, shrimp etc are basically insects... like eating crickets that swim... yuck. |
Thank you, sooooo much. |
My favourite is scallops, but oysters are up there.
When we were kids my dad used to buy them by the case, and leave the box under our front steps. He's bring out a few dozen every now and again, and we'd all sit around and slurp down raw oysters....Mmmmmmmmm....... |
I am a Jersey Shore Girl. I love seafood! My favorite is anything crab (especially au gratin). My Dad & I did lots of crabbing (Blue-Claw). Dad cooked them (I couldn't watch). We used to eat them w/ just mayo.
Dad caught & broiled the most wonderful bluefish (yes I DO like it) with onions, lemon & butter. Love Fluke & Flounder (we caught those too). Strange that I don't like Lobster? sue |
If you are looking for fried clams there is only one place, I'm afraid:
THE Clam Box in Ipswich, MA http://www.ipswichma.com/clambox/ The restaurant is shaped like a clambox, too. I've been there only twice. My review? Fisherman's platter. $22. Worth more. |

Is tuna not seafood? I didn't vote b.c I didn't see tuna. Um, tuna is FISH I voted for crabs... I'm not a huge lobster fan. It's okay, but I don't like butter, so I guess that's the best way to eat it and without it, it isn't as good. |
I love seafood of all sorts. Although right now, any time I smell a really fishy smell, I have to exit the area!
My personal favorite seafood is snow crab claws. They're a house specialty on the FL island I visit, and are only available in the winter months. Besides being absoultely amazing as far as taste, they are also very humanely fished... the crab isn't killed. Instead only one claw is taken, and the crab is returned to the ocean. The claw grows back and can be fished again next year! The ultimate in catch and release And so, so tasty!!!! I also enjoy a well prepared calamri! |
All of the above!
It's great in New England, we make the rounds- Woodmans (Essex,Ma), Lobster Pot (Plymouth, Ma), Atlantic Beach club (Newport,ri). When we are tired of seafood, we head to Chilihead for BBQ |

I prefer Grilled Salmon out of all seafood. My second choice would be Lobster. I had Lobster at Outback the other night and it was delicious! |
I voted for lobster. It is my all time favorite, though I don't get to have it very often.
A close second is crab legs. I went to Virgina Beach last week with my sister and that is about all I ate. Captain George's seafood buffet the first night. All you can eat crab legs. I definitely ate my share. Blue crab eggs benidict for breakfast, twice. She crab soup a couple of times. And of course lump crab and crab cakes. |
I was in Virginia Beach last week too! |
