Fast food restaurant gets it wrong again

I had metioned to my son a while back that I think the fast food places get our order wrong at least 90 % of the time.
He thought I was crazy, no way it was that high.
Well, I have been keeping count.
After getting the wrong drink and no cheese stix tonight, the count is up to 16 wrong and only 2 right. Getting pretty close to that 90%.
I swear it is a racquet. Wonder how much profit they are making by shorting orders?

Seeing as i work for McDonadls, i can actually answer all that. Fast food places LOSE money when they get orders wrong, because they have to throw the food away. Places try as hard as they can to get it right, but you gatta remember, the people there are just that, People. We make mistakes, and we really are sorry when it happens. But when people come in a start yelling at us about it, we become glad that they didnt get their order right and thea they had to wait time to come back in. If you just come back in and say, "could i have my fries? You forgot to put them in the bag." they will apologize and give you what ever your missing.
UGhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh............ my husband doesn't talk to me on the drive home sometimes because I argue so much with the fast food attendants.

I JUST WANT WHAT I ORDER FOR PETE'S SAKE.

Screw my husband for getting upset. You can scare me all you want with the whole "well, they'll spit in your food..." ..........THEN SPIT... just get my food right!!!!!!!!!!!

If I pay for extra ranch, I will have a cow on your rear if there is only 1 ranch. Happens WAY more than 75% of the time. Due to this, I will remind, and remind, and remind again ....all politely, all with a joke or smile on my face. Each time, I make them go get my extra ranch.

While that is nice and dandy... the point is not that you forgot or messed up an order, it's the fact that we are upset and have to get out of our car, drive back, go without, or wait longer to get what we originally asked for.

I even understand that the person who took the order is different than the person giving your meal to you (putting it together). I don't care.

Whewww.. my hormones are kicking in full force today!!!!!!!
rather than just saying extra ranch, say how many you actually want (if your talking packets) because extra actually means 1 according to policy. I know its a pain, but you gatta be spacific.
Maybe that's a sign you shouldn't eat at places you don't need to get out of your car and you order in a clown's mouth
Dang it. I'm starving for some fast food now. I'm going to Carl's Jr. now.

Lol. It also doesn't help that everyone that works there are kids, who could really give a crap, or people that can't get jobs better than fast food. There's not much incentive in either of those groups to do things right. I don't usually eat fast food but the few times that I do, I'm usually thankful if the kid isn't on a cell phone or can understand English.
They never mess up my order when I bring yuki.

2 burgers, onion rings, and fried zucchini

eating for two.
There was a McDonalds that never got the orders right. You could count on getting an extra samwichor fries. We always order one less than we wanted.
They {deleted} you at the drive thru............Joe Peshi knows what he's talking about.........
I work almost an hour away from where I try to get my breakfast or lunch in town. I agree with the 90% figure. I have countless times where I would arrive at work, open my bag from McDonalds or Sonic, anticipate what I ordered only to find they gave me something not even close to what I ordered. I've even had three times, from two different restaurants where I ordered the exact same thing each time and they gave me the exact same wrong item every time, and it was the one thing on the menu I absolutely hate. What urks me the most is that I don't notice until I get to work, and then I can't go back and get the right item. I know I should check every time before I leave the restaurant, but it slips my mind almost every time. Why can't they just get it right? If they're getting my order wrong 90% of the time, I'd hate to think how many orders in a day that they get wrong.

With everything coded out on a touch pad, it's hard to do a special.......extra ranch for example. And yes, having an order taker and a dispenser at another window doesn't help. It's hard to get the word down the line.

Haven't had a misorder in ages. Then again I don't mess with special requests.....just remember the spoon for DH's Frosty!
I ALWAYS am clear. I ALWAYS repeat. ..and it's usually to someone who says they'll make sure before taking it out ...and that person is the one bringing it to me (like Sonic). I ALWAYS am kind and say "people usually forget" and they usually say "oh, I definitely won't.."

With that said, I haven't had a wrong order in awhile... This post is very old. ;)
Many years ago service was great! My pet peeve today is you can go thru the drivethru faster than going in to order. I always check the order as usually something is wrong...and I never order chicken as it takes twice the time...we have found when traveling we can stop and go in and eat faster than a fast food restaurant...my favorite is Cracker Barrel..you don't mind waiting as it gives you time to shop!
