New Member-Had to put my 12 yr old to sleep

I'm just joined. About 2 weeks ago, my husband & I had to put my precious puppy, Baloo to sleep. He was 12 yrs old & had developed kidney failure. He had arthritis in his hips & his hips were deterating. When Baloo died, a part of me died with him. I'm still having bad days, but not everyday. We have a 2 yr old OES named Cotton. I love Cotton very much but he's a daddy's boy. Baloo was my baby & my world. I had him for over 2 yrs when I got married. I have lost my best friend. I am wanting to get a female puppy. I live in Northern Alabama. I use to rock Baloo & he went every where I went except when I would go to work, church or special events. I miss the companionship & his love so very much. Cotton is a registered OES & my husband & I are considering raising puppies. I got my very first OES when I was 13 yrs old. Baloo was a house dog, house broke, well mannered & got a hair cut twice a yr. I started keeping him trimmed when he got older because I didn't want the extra weight causing him heart problems & making his hips hurt more. If any of you know where I can get an OES puppy close to Alabama, please let me know. I will give this puppy the best life it could ever want. My niece told me that Baloo had a better life & more love than some people that she knew. Thank you.

I am sorry for your loss. Baloo sounds like a wonderful family member. They find a special place in our heart that never leaves and hopefully time will heal the pain enough that the good memories will make you smile whenever you think of him.

We got Harry just 2 1/2 weeks after losing Mopsy and it helped us tremendously. Although I teared up a lot yesterday as I was working on a picture project and kept coming across pictures of her growing up with our sons.

Take care.
I'm soo sorry that you're beloved Baloo died! It's soo hard when your Sheepie dies! You share all and everything with them and they leave a big hole in your heart!

If you feel empty and want another sheepie get one as soon as you can! I got Charlie now 5 weeks after my Ellie died and she helped me already over the pain even ofcourse I never will forget Ellie aswell as you will never forget Baloo!

I send you a lot of Sheepie Hugs :ghug: and hope you find very soon a lovely puppy! :hearts: :hearts:
Sorry for your loss always hard when our fur babies have to leave us, they leave us with a lifetime of wonderful memories that flow forever.
So sorry for your loss.
Very saddened by your loss of Baloo. I can tell you were very close to him.
I am sorry for your loss and hope you find another sheeper soon to ease your pain.

so sorry for your loss

wendy and gismo
So sorry for your loss. I hope you will be able to find another good OES in your search. Take time to grieve though, that's important and normal.
I'm so sorry to hear about Baloo (wonderful name) I hope you find another sheepie soon to spoil rotten and love, just like you did with Baloo :hearts:
I'm so sorry for your loss of your precious Baloo. Most of us here fully understand the depth of the pain you feel when you lose your baby. The pain will subside but you will still have your wonderful memories of your boy. My thoughts are with you as you grieve.
I am so sorry for your loss. I myself lost my Watson 2 weeks ago and he was 12.
I'm so sorry, we never have enough time :( . Time will help, but another sheepie is the best cure.
So sorry for your loss. No matter how long they are with us it is never long enough. He will live forever in your memories. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
i'm sitting here crying as i read your post. i am a new member also, and i have two sheepdogs, also. my seeches is eleven, and although she's still doing very well, i know my time with her is getting shorter. although i also have a four year old, losing seeches is going to just about kill me. you need to go and get yourself a puppy, to get your mind off of your loss. it really will help. good luck, and know that you gave that lucky dog of yours the best life it could possibly have. much love, donna
I am so very sorry for your loss. I hope you are able to fill the void very soon. Nothing can replace your precious pup but perhaps anew pup will ease your pain.
So sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you.

Anastacia
so sorry for your lost
I am so sorry.

I know it seems impossible now, but as time goes by, you'll find your sadness is eased by your many happy memories. I still miss every single dog that I ever had, from our family's first beagle when I was about 5 or 6 to my best boy, Merlin, who passed away almost 18 months ago. But I can laugh now at the memories, and still feel the same warm feelings of love and comfort and companionship instead of just the sorrow. They give us so much love, don't they?
So Sorry :ghug:
so sorry for your loss....

I am so sorry for your loss! There is no place in one's heart that our sheepie's hold that is as special in my opinion.
