I was just wondering, when your pup has its first set of shots and 2 more to go should or can you talk them for walks I have heard 2 storys 1:you can after their 1st set and 2: you should wait until the had all their shots. So they do not pick up anything. Lots of dogs in my town and I know a few that do not get their needles. My first pup we did not have to worry about walks no one plus sami wanted to go out WAY to much snow and COLD. But my second is in Aug we also live close to the woods and have lots of trails so we also seem to head that way the dogs can go off their leashs and have fun. wears them out a lot faster. Very Happy
I'd say the later the better just to be safe. An older puppy will be able to enjoy the wooded trails better anyway!
I'd wait. Better safe than sorry.
My vet told me that you should wait at least 4 days after they have gotten their last puppy shots. He said it takes 4 days for the vaccines to "kick in".
