Another incontience question!

Well Allie has been leaking almost every evening, for about 2 weeks. It is after she plays with the Boxer pup behind us, is very tired and has drank LOTS of water. She will then collapse (Usually after she pees outside) on the kitchen floor for about 10 minutes. That is when she will leak. Is this incontience? Could it be a urinary infection? She is due for check-up at the vet in 3 weeks, so in the mean time I can keep cleaning her and floor up..Or should I get her in ASAP, incase it is an infection? It only happens after she plays hard. Not during the night or any other time...

I wouldn't wait. If it is an infection she is probably very uncomfortable.
It could be spay incontinece if she is spayed. I would not wait 3 weeks just in case it is a UTI, take a clean urine sample to the vets when you go and have her checked out.

If it is a UTI, the earlier you get treatment the quicker and easier it is to clear it up.
Allie does not have a UTI. Urine came back neg....They are pretty sure it is the Incontience spay. She is only 15 months old! I feel right now I can handle it, being it is not everyday and not constant. Only after she plays hard with the other pups in the neighborhood....And drinks LOTS of water. We have not had an incident in 3 days. The Vet wants to do blood work and get her on meds right away. I would like to wait and see if it gets worse.
Thanks for replys.
Probably is better to wait if it is manageable at the moment, starting them on medication means there on it for a life time then and being only 15 months old and not happening all the time, probably better to see how it goes.

I would also monitor the water intake after play, rest her and when she settles/cools down a bit offer her a bowl of water then and see if that helps in the leak department. That is also a good idea anyway as it helps not lead to a dog bloating, hard exercise and play when the dog is all worked up/panting etc and allowed to drink and drink is very risky there.

I think you will find if you let her cool/settle down a bit after playing, then offer her water, she won't be drinking as much water and it may possibly help there with her leak as the bladder will not be so full as she is not consuming as much water as she would straight after play and letting her drink then
