Bacon

Every time I hear about meat, veggies, cheese, or anything else wrapped in bacon, I want to puke. I know it's pretty popular here b/c I hear so many people say "add bacon bits" to whatever recipe, but not in this house.
Respond to this topic here on forum.oes.org
I don't eat red meat or pork (includes bacon) so bacon anything sounds gross to me, although I like turkey bacon, but not wrapped around anything...
you know that one dog treat commercial?? "ITS BACON!!! BACON, BACON, BACON......"

Well, I feel the same way :excited:
We love bacon, but had to give it up last year when Tim revised his diet to cure his migraines. No nitrites (no caffeine, no msg...). Just recently I found bacon with no nitrites or preservatives in the natural foods store. :clappurple: Hooray! We can eat bacon again!!
Everything is better with bacon.
BACON BLECH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love bacon... it's addictive...
I just HAD to add an option to the poll --

YES, Bacon is a sin.
YES, Bacon is heavenly.

My life is filled with contradictions. Joan disagrees.
I don't know anyone who loves bacon and doesn't also know it's a sin.

I can't take a bite of bacon w/o thinking I'm eating a Beggin Strip or whatever those dog treats are called. /where's the puking emoticon ;)
lol...that the treat...beggin strips..

Its Bacon!!!!!!! Bacon, Bacon, BAAAACCCOOONN!!!!!

okay, im tired now.. that was way too much hyperness, even for me:sidestep:
Bacon has nothing to do with religion. If it is a sin, pack my suntan lotion and sunglasses because I am happily headed to hell.

Yeah baby, BACON!!

If I'm sinning and clogging arteries, I'm heading straight

More of a Chicago style sausage man, but would never turn down meat.

I read a quote from someone:

"Vegeterians don't eat meat because they love animals, they eat vegetables because they hate plants".
There is no food that cannot be improved upon by the addition of bacon. I love bacon. LOVE IT. Which is why I can't have it in the house. A serving to me is half a pound. A BLT must have at least 6 slices. I just had my yearly physical and my cholesterol levels are wonderful. I should celebrate with a pound of Oscar Meyer.

I also LOVE bacon. But I limit myself to only having some once a quarter. so it is a rare treat. I also use it in receipes, but I try to keep that to a minimum also. It's sooo bad for you, but so, so good!
This is a very difficult confession. Being Jewish AND always watching my weight....I still have to admit

I :hearts: BACON!!!

Its just so darned delicious...and terrible for you.

One of my favorite things in life, is a good BLT!!!!!

(Yes, I'm going straight to hell, too  )

With mayo...
Oh yea....on toast, quartered, with the cute little toothpicks in it. (Just don't eat the toothpicks!). AND! Ya gotta have plain, potato chips on the side.

MMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. Gross. I've always hated mayo.
I have to admit, I'm actually a Miracle whip person, myself!
Hey, go post about your hatred of one of my faves in another thread.

You know that on the back of the box for Cheez-Its it says "Get your own Box" and some commercial for some other potato chip that screams "GET YOUR OWN BAG!"

Well.....

GET YOUR OWN THREAD!!!

BACON YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMY
Like Deb, I was raised Jewish.....luckily not Kosher. Oh well, life's too short not to indulge in good food. My grandparents considered themselves Kosher, but also ate Bacon. 8O  They wouldn't eat porkchops though. When at the Chinese Restaurant we would order Shredded Pork with Garlic Sauce and told Grandma is was Chicken....she had no idea. Come on...if she was eating Bacon what's the big deal.

In Cancun I must have eaten at least 1/2 lb of Bacon a day. YUMMY!!!
We LOVE bacon here too.

I have an awesome recipe with brocolli, cauliflower, grapes, green onion, and bacon...tossed together as a cold salad, with a mayo/parmasean dressing...best picnic salad.
