One of those nights.....

Last night was one of those nights where nothing went right. We had a million things to do and never got a chance to eat dinner til after 9:00. We had just sat down to eat when we had a Ambualnce call. So I put Ty in his crate, put our barely touch dinner plates on the kitchen counter and off we flew.

Doug and I arrived home a couple hours later, STARVING. Walked in to find that not only had Tasker pulled our plates off the counter and cleaned them up but he PULLED THE POTS OFF THE STOVE AND ATE EVERY LAST SCRAP

Counter surfing sheepie strikes again

Oh how disappointing! Come home starving and sheepie ate all your food.

Seriously, did you expect him to leave your dinner plates alone?
No not really but when the pager goes off you just run.
He should of left you the leftovers in the pot though. Tsk Tsk Tasker. . .
That awful!!! funny.. but awful.....
Could have been a good excuse for take out!!! lol
Hmmmm. You guys ought to be able to crate them both in an instant for everyone's safety. Especially your rugs. :(
I always did crate Tasker, til we moved into this house and Ty came to live with us. His crate is currently dismantled but it may be time to put it back together :(
I am now officially in wait for the next nut-explosion-like story...
I was a bit worried that we would spend the entire night running in and out but he actually did pretty well, didn't wake me to go out til about 4:30 this morning (and no messes).
Whatever you cooked, it must have been good!!!!!! What's for dinner tonight?
lol...tisk tasker......you must be one heck of a cook for him to go after the leftovers too....what was it by the way?

FOUR CHEESE Macaroni & Cheese, Fresh green beans and FRESH brussel sprouts (my favorite) :(
awww man, that sounds yummy...i like brussel sprouts too...have you ever sauted them in bacon grease? its just to die for......
Anything in bacon grease is to die for!
Apparently Tasker like brussel sprouts as well  Miner WERE not sauted in bacon grease however.
do you mince a little onion in your mac and cheese??? thats good too.....sigh....now i want that for lunch!
How many pounds of food do you think were consumed overall?

It's stories like this that make me feel lucky for what I have. Bear doesn't even have to jump to get his head on the counters but he never steals. Thank goodness he isn't driven because at his size, I'd probably have to doggie proof the high cabinets, too!
Tasker just didn't want you to have to scrub the hardened cheese off the pots and plates later. He really was doing you a favor.

And that sounds really good. I love brussel sprouts. How did you make them?
Hmmm, well the macaroni and cheese alone had to weigh 3-4 lbs. But don't forget, this is the dog that singlehandedly ate 7lbs of nuts last fall!!!!

Tasker seems to have a bottemless capacity for eating. He NEVER did that til he got older. When he was younger he was "free fed", food available at all times and I never had a problem with him over eating. Then a few years ago he became an eating amchine and i had to strat limiting quantities. I honestly believe he would eat til he burst given the opportunity!!!!!!!!!!!

   My response to this story (as I came in late) went through a couple of stages.....
#1.."OH NO...poor Tasker...I hope nothing had bones, or other harmful stuff!"
#2.."OH NO...poor Ginny...it was MAC & CHEESE!!!!....and he didn't leave her ANY??!!

Bad Boy Tasker!
Actually it turned out ok, I used my starvation of last night as an excuse to have an extra piece of cake TODAY
 sheepie tricks for sure
