insect bites?
I saw some scars on the skin, and they flaked off when I scratch it (lots of tiny black things size of refined sugar). I just found a small dot on his belly, and it has a reddish ring around it. There is no bump, just very flat. He just got the vaccine for Lyme disease, but he needs booster in 2 weeks. I just want to know he is not getting anything from bites! And yes he is on frontline plus. Thanks! K |

| Odd... the black stuff sounds like flea feces and the red thing sounds like a tick bite... neither of which he should have if he is on frontline.
Is he itchy? Is there hair loss in those areas? |
That's what I don't understand  I tried all kinds of flea/tick control but he always gets bites!!
No hair loss yet. He doesn't seems to be all that itchy. He does have access to the back yard, and he goes to day care. Should I try anything else?? K |

It's hard to explain, maybe it's the same shape but it's very small. The ring size is about the tip of my index finger, and the 'bulleye' is only one tiny black dot. And there are more reddishness (line looking) else where in his body, looks like he got scratched
Poor dog. I called the vet and they said wait to see if he has symptons first before taking him in (he is going in in 2 weeks anyway). I hope he is OK.... too much for me this week already with my sister's dog's vet bill (he at the rat poison, which I whined about earlier). Ring worm..... I better go check to see what it looks like!! |
