Yelping for no apparent reason..

My 12 week old sheepie when im playing with him, sometimes he will make a massive yelp like ive hurt him or something but without even touching him and run off and stand about 10 metres away from me and give me an evil glare and stand there for a good few minutes staring...

he also stares at me from the other side of the room sometimes without moving and standing up when im sitting watching tv or just sitting down and it really spooks me do you know why he could be doing these 2 things?

VERY cute pup! :D

I'd have him checked out by the vet as soon as possible. It sounds like something may be causing him pain... when it hurts, he thinks you're the source of it.

When one pup hurts another, one of two things often happen... either they fight or all play stops. I'd also contact the breeder today to get their perspective on this behavior.

Best to address it quickly.

If you DO happen to faint, you'll have a few more tries at staying on your feet in the up coming months with the other required puppy shots.

Hehehe
You'll do fine!

You might also want to carefully check his coat to make sure there's nothing stuck in it that might be causing him to yelp. It's unbelievable what can hide in that fur sometimes!

yeh cant wait! lol yeh had a look at his coat the other day because i was scared maybe he had a tick or something but nothing is there, hope nothin is wrong with ma boy
Check his pads, sometimes things get lodged in them and that causes pain even if he isn't limping. As for the shots, they will hurt you more than they will him :(
Ah - I hope there isn't anything wrong. He is VERY cute - I love all of his pictures!
Oh he is super cute. :D
Hope all is ok with your puppyy. He is so cute!! We had some times when Shaggy would do that, and the vet said it may be just a sore muscle that he could have pulled from all his puppy play. He would wind up in the most unusual positions sometimes! He would try to jump on the couch, or once he was up, he would try to jump down. But he is ok and is quite good at doing both now! We have wood floors and sometimes it is not his friend! He will slide all the way down the hall and wind up smack into the wall! But like I said, he is fine. Good luck at the vets! :)
