* * * * * SPOILER FOLLOWS* * * * *

Credit Card Roulette 2007 was held on the 24th floor of Foxwoods Casino, at a Restaurant called Paragon and was broadcast on Saturday, May 5th, 2007. I jotted down this terse plot synopsis as the show was airing. If you want to watch the show and be surprised at the results, don't read any further!

Has an improv show called “Iron Chef Louie”
He doesn’t even have a credit card, he had to beg and borrow money from friendsw and his parents. He has cash with him $3,000 in $10s and $20s and put his Red Cross certification card in the contest envelope.

Chef Wayne Hooker
Chef at the Big Mamoo in Worcester
Top one of the top cajon cooks outside of New Orleans

Steve Sweeney
Comedian from Boston (I have a personal history with Steve Sweeney, and I don't like him... you'll be able to tell ;) )

First card is pulled out of the hopper before any ordering:
1st card pulled is Chef Wayne Hooker who exclaims “Hell Yeah!”

Chef Wayne Plans on ordering up a storm, now that he knows he’s safe.

Ordering begins:
Chef Wayne -- Baby spinach salad for 2
Greg Hill -- American Kobe Beef filet mignon $95
Nick Varano -- Double wrapped lobster roll, Chateau Briand for 3
Crazy Legs Conti -- Steak tartar. escargot, fois gras -- I can’t
pronounce it so give me 2, 5 dozen oysters with caviar sprinkled over it

2nd card pulled Greg Hill

Chef sends out an amuse bouche (sp?) of some mini burgers

2 hours before dinner, Nick Varano invited the other participants to his suite at Foxwoods for some appetizers ! lol

3rd card pulled: Steve Sweeney

Appetizers arrive, including:
Double wrapped Lobster Roll with thyme dipping sauce $18
American Kobe Steak Tartar $22
Ceasar Salad for 2 prepared tableside $30
Shark Fin soup with Crab $45
5 dozen oysters with beluga caviar was the most expensive ($350 eaten in
10 seconds)
I saw a flash of the bill; they only delivered 48 oysters (@$3.50) = $168 plus one ounce of beluga caviar = $325 total: $493

4th card pulled: Dave Andelman
The bill so far is $2200
5th card pulled: Louie DiHicari (YAY!!!!!!!) Going to enjoy himself, and
orders a menu :D

Entrees arrive
Pan fried dover sole carved tableside $60
Organic dry aged sirloin$65
Lobster Thermador with fresh shallots and rich double cream $85
Tender Kobe Beef filet mignon $95
Herb crusted blank angus Chateau Briand for 2 $120

There’s a twist added this year, announced pre-commercial detailed now:
Someone’s card is going to be put back in! hahahahaha

After entrees, each person gets to vote whose card is going back into the
box ! lol
... Dave Andelman says that he wants to punch Steve Sweeney in the face
(Who doesn’t?)

Louie votes for Wayne
Sweeney votes for Louie (because he’s young and need a lesson (What an ####))
Crazy legs votes for Wayne, and tells him!
Dave votes for himself.
Nick votes for Dave (saying he really doesn’t like him).

Votes are counted –
Wayne
Louie
Dave
Wayne
Dave
Wayne
Dave
-----------------
Dave and Wayne, 3 votes each (apparently one vote is missing! Send the lawyers!)

They will break the tie by guessing the current dinner bill, closest stays out
Dave guesses $2300
Wayne guesses ....

Louie Dihicari helps Wayne with his prediction. He saw Dave’s guess, and told Wayne
Wayne “guesses” $2301

Current bill was $2340 (what a great guess Dave Andelman’s was!)

5th Card Returned back into hopper: DAVE ANDELMAN
Andelman was truly, honestly pissed off: Really.
Starts to whine - Promises to find out who cheated.

Nick says that if -on the off chance- he loses, he might have enough wampum (frequent Foxwoods Gambler) points to cover it anyway! LOL

5th Card again pulled: Nick Varano
egg nog crème broulet $12

Deserts Arrive
Molten lava cake with a warm truffle raspberry center $14
Flaming bananas foster for two prepared tableside $36

Dave says that he’s now resigned to losing; The game was designed that
once you’re safe you’re safe, so he couldn’t vote for anyone else in good
conscience.

6th and 7th pulled at the same time… but then they split it up with a
commercial. I hate this contrived anticipation stuff that is going on in the TV world.
6th Card pulled: Dave Andelman
7th card pulled: Glen Kelley

Crazy Legs Conti, the competitive eater, has to pay
Yet again, the folks who can afford to pay don’t. Ain’t that the way of
the world.

Check total: $2433,34
With tip: $3,000.00
