Max- clean bill of health and gained 12 pounds!!

Hi!

Just a quick Max update---

He got a clean bill of heath in respect to heart - spinal column- etc..
His back is strong- his legs are gaining muscle...and he has put 12 pounds back on. Don't want to plump him up too much- but he looks healthy and much happier now. He is up and about - and getting into mischief again!!!! More about that when I have more time... WE love it :)

Thank you. Max has worked so hard. As I've said a million times- he has been such a perfect angel through this whole thing... so loving and patient. I think that was his way of telling us- no matter what- he was going to be ok.

Max is on the "tune up" plan now. He will be going once a month now for his treatments. We will continue those as long as we need to. If nothing else- to try to keep the arthritis at bay as long as possible.
The only thing he is taking now is Trixsyn- and will continue that for a few more weeks. Tonight he actually RAN to greet me when I got home. He is still wobbly - but each day his balance gets better- and he is more like his old self. :go:

I can't say enough how appreciative we are for all of you- advice- well wishes- encouragment.... the group in this forum are the best!!!

Lori

for you and Max. B won't try to get up any more. Her back end just won't come up. When she walks with her sling she sways and falls some time. I can't do the stand up exercises with her cause she won't try to stand. she stood for minutes alone tonight to eat, then she slid down on her hind legs. I am still trying to find somene in Corpus Christi to work with her ,no luck
Way to go Max :clappurple:

Poor B. What does her surgeon suggest? Be firm in your quest for answers and ask about the prognosis. I'm sure that B isn't the first dog that has ever had this surgery in your area. Could you ask for referals or recomendations from local vets? Keep your chin up- and keep fighting for B's recovery. It takes a lot of work- but the end result makes it all worth the little bit of time to make it all happen.
