I would trim them if it were me. If you take a look at this link it explains how the sheepdog coat works a little bit. It is a myth that they are protected from the heat. I know as I live in FL!!!

I live in Arizona and I shave Panda down also.... but boy lobster with drawn butter and some fresh lime sounds really good about now  |
