We're baaack.... from Vegas!

Well, we did it!

I've just started catching up on all my posts after getting home from the airport and taking a short nap and would first like to thank everybody for all their well wishes for us. It's so sweet and we both really appreciate it. James even went through all of them and wanted me to thank all of you personally. I'd also like to thank everyone who came out for the wedding: Darcy, Sue, Jil, Tammy (and Chelsea who was there too even if it was more of a coincidence!), it was so awesome that you guys came from all over the country to come and share our day. And, and even specialer thank you to Las Vegas Sheepie Lover who was, indeed, a wonderful host and helped us out immensely by both taking us to pick up James's tux but also by fulfilling our OES fix and allowing us to hang our with Hannah and Copper for the afternoon! They're both awesome and totally adorable. Clyde and Hannah look so creepily alike that it really made me miss him more!

Everything went off without a hitch. It was killer hot that day and that would be the only real negative that I could even report but even that isn't a complaint. You can't really complain much about warm weather and sun when you compare the alternatives. Unfortunately, you're going to have to wait a few days for really good pictures of the wedding because we didn't take any pictures the whole time that we were there-- wedding included. We have all the proofs so, until I can scan them, I don't have anything digital yet. Even the ones they have on the their photography website for us to look at are such low resoulution that I don't even want to share them yet. I'll post this one as an example. :)

I can't believe how fast almost 7 days in Vegas flew by. We had so many things to do and people to give face time to, by the time we blinked, it was time to get home. We did bring the laptops but never even got a chance to take them out. We had over 35 people that wanted to see us while they were in town so every time we sat down, the phone would ring. "Hey, what are you guys doing?" I'm glad we were so popular but it was definitely tiring! We both won a bit of money-- enough that I left with $100 more than I came with but after spending money on dinners, taxis and tipping so that part was also a great success!

On a side note: I saw the pictures from the night we went out to Polly Esther's. I don't think anyone mentioned that I look HORRIBLE in those pictures because I ate something weird and had spent the last three hours throwing up, which explains my ghostly pallor. I saw those posted and cringed! Luckily, I was happy to see that I didn't look worse than poor Darcy. For such a little chic, Chelsea has a pretty hard head and she really gave it to Darcy BUT good. Darcy, have you seen a doctor? We're all pretty sure your nose was broken. How'd you explain that wild night to Brian, lol?

Our petsitting people are so awesome. Not only did they take great care of the dogs (who are exhausted from their vacation), they dropped the kids off so they were waiting for us when we got home and left us a card and a lucky bamboo plant. They kept Clyde's coat in check for me, too. After a week of hard play, he still looks just like he did when I dropped him off. I couldn't recommend them higher for anyone in the southeastern Michigan area. The dogs were thrilled to see us when we came through the door but I could tell it was hard for them to get crazy excited because they were so tired. Everyone's sleeping peacefully now and if I wasn't so tired myself, I'd start grooming while the getting's good but I'm feeling lazy.

Anyway, I'll post some pics soon as soon as I can. I'm still unwinding and getting used to the time change again so I'm a bit slow right now!

Sooooooooooo????????????????

Does it feel any different???

Has James stopped twirling his ring on his finger?

Do you feel like a MRS.?
Congrats Jill, and welcome back! Your proof is lovely! Did you have time to order room service??? Hopefully, now the attendees won't be shy with their pics!

He had to take it off. Thanks to losing weight for the wedding, the ring we bought is WAY too big now. :( We have to get it resized for his new svelte fingers!

I'm having a very hard time saying "my husband." It sounds so odd.
Do Clyde, Bear, and Lucy feel ligitimate now?

Lucy refuses to accept her new step-father. She was all "You ain't my daddy. You don't tell me what to do!"

The dogs are soooo happy to be home and with us again. Bear and Clyde have been lapdogging since we came back. Clyde is so beat from his little vacation, that he's been tolerating constant grooming. Though the petsitters tried, they don't have an OES so they didn't realize how important it is to separate and brush from root to tip-- but I didn't expect them to. I'm happy that they did anything! But, he really needed a good brushing all the way to the root since you all know where the mats were! We're about 60% done and he and Lucy are going to the groomer tomorrow because they smell like they've been partying all week.
so basically what youre saying is that they smell like they hung out with us on Friday night
It is weird eavsdropping on all of you since I just got involved with this group. I feel like I am crashing the party, but hey, who cares. The more the merrier.

The photo is great. Your hair, flowers, dress, husband, all are beautiful, well maybe not him.... you can say cute or handsome, not beautiful.

I bet he did! :D I thought this was a family site!

Welcome home!!! I know it's weird to say "husband". After 5 years of marriage, I still find it strange. I look down at my ring and say, "I'm married?"
Congrats Jill, glad that you had a wonderful day. The one picture you posted is gorgeous. Have fun going through those proofs, it is a time consuming activity. It took me months to settle on which ones I wanted for the album and framed pictures.

Saying "husband" is an adjustment. You are probably going to continue to accidentally refer to James as your boyfriend or fiance. I did this for a while after we were marrid.

We did the proofs already before we left Vegas. We actually picked the ones we wanted the first time around. I was amazingly easy for us. We keep getting hundreds more though from people that were at the wedding!
