I woke up yesterday morning to our sweet dog covered in his own feces (in his crete!). I was so sad for him and the fact that he didn't wake us during the night! Cleaned that up and yesterday he was just fine...running, playing, eating just ok...But again this morning, more diarrhea during the night! He hasn't had a stool in 2 days.

Any ideas what might cause this? We haven't changed his food or anything like that. I'm clueless! Crying or Very sad
Is all of his defication in a runny form? What color is it? Is it watery or just soft?
Vet - fast!!!!
I'm with Emily - Vets ASAP, due to only being 4 months old, they can de-hydrate really fast.

A vet then can determine what course of action is needed to help.
Yes, you need to bring him to the vets asap. Is he up-to-date with vaccinations? He really should be put on fluids if he has had d+ for a while. Did you give him a pigs ear by chance?
We went through this with S'more when she was 3 months old- She had a bad bacteria. 2 Rx's later, she's been as good as gold. Knock wood

I would go to the vet
