blue buffalo food

Has anyone used this brand of kibble? It is a holistic type, with all kinds of good stuff in it. Sam liked the hand out, so I bought a small bag of it to try. She was on the holistic Nutro, so the change shouldn't be so drastic.

This just came in from the FDA and confirmed on the mfr's website ... http://bluebuff.com

It indicates the CANNED dog food and biscuits...
I don't think there is anything about their dry kibble.

Recall -- Firm Press Release
Blue Buffalo Recalls Can and Biscuit Products Due To Tampering By American Nutrition Inc.

If you visit this address you'll find more on the recall-

I know they voluntary recalled the biscuits themselves, the company that produced them added an additional ingredient. The ingredient that was added wasn't bad for dogs at all, it's just not on the list of ingredients. I wasn't concerned about the recall, I was just wondering if anyone saw any diffence in their dog (coat, joints etc....). Thanks!
Sorry, I was just concerned whether you'd supplement the diet with any canned food or biscuits.

The additional unauthorized ingredient was rice protein concentrate 8O
American Nutrition, Inc., the company that produces Blue Buffalo canned and biscuit products, has been confirmed by the FDA to have purchased contaminated rice protein concentrate from San Francisco-based Wilbur-Ellis Company.

On the positive side, no tested food has been found to contain melamine and Blue Buffalo has indicated they've located a new manufacturer for their canned/biscuit food... one they say they can trust.
This food recall is keeping us hopping at work!!!!
I think the most important thing to research is whether the companies "voluntarily" pulled the products and really be aware of the ingredients of your sheepies food.

We have had a few cases in... all kitties, they are so small so they have a harder time processing if something is wrong!
I use this for S'more- She likes it.
So I bought it for my cats- then there was a recall on that..but not on the type I was using.
It's scary- I was in Petsmart yesterday and wasn't sure what to buy at all. :? So I stayed with the Blue food.
The pets like it and it's suppose to be really good for them
