Harry passed his therapy dog evaluation
I was sure he wouldn't pass but the dog I took into the testing room was apparantly a cooperative body double for Harrington! LOL All are hard work on not pulling paid off. He walked nicely on a loose leash. Weaved in and out of the wheelchairs and walkers without acting nervous. Acted fine on the noise and re-approach tests. Walked over the funny grating normally. He actually did a sit  (Harry thinks SITS are optional and has both selective hearing and memory on the verbal command and hand signals  ) Yes he actually did a sit  Then he did a nice down stay. Last he did a very good leave it with a whole juicy hamburger on a plate.
They sent me out and repeated everything to see how he did without me and said he did good! So he PASSED!!!  
And we start our therapy classes in August for twelve weeks. We will have a Touch Team test at the end to rank us. Our ranking will determine what facilities we are eligible to visit. He celebrated with a Frosty Paw when he got home!  |
