We passed!
He passed his CGC a few months ago, but the dogs need to be at least a year old to take the TDI test. He was great tonight and had a wonderful time being a ham and soaking up all the attention! He has been going to the nursing home that LeAnne works at since we got him - at 4 mos. old. Tomorrow will be his 1st official visit - we are going to visit the high school LifeSkills classroom (special ed) in Mankato. It should be a lot of fun.

| Thanks everyone! Chewie and his fellow therapy dog members had a wonderful time at the school visit on Friday. We had a total of 9 dogs there to see the kids. We ended up with a big audience too - in addition to the original classroom, the next door class joined us. Staff with a free period dropped in, as well as the student teachers. I thought it was great that the student teachers were exposed to the benefits of pet assisted therapy for this group of students. Here are some pictures-
Here is a picture of Chewie with the student I do home care with. One day a week I am her nurse in this classroom. (I sub for the regular nurse on her day off)

We had a wonderful time! It took us forever to get into the classroom and out of it - the dogs were swarmed by students in the hallways.  They were so surprised to have dogs in their school. It was kind of fun seeing high school kids so excited! |
