Our cat went missing.

Amy went out yesterday, must have run out while we were coming in. It's been cold and rainy/snowing so she is not one to stay out longer than 2 minutes.

But she has been gone all night and still not back today. I put the cat litter out so she can have a scent to follow home..it worked last time she went missing for a week.

This cat is the one that pees on dirty laundry and on the same spot in the carpet. But it is not medical..she was completely checked and was fine. The vet said stress related. So we've had her on medication to help. She is micro-chipped and is wearing her tags.

Just always something has to go wrong, ever feel like you get no break between problems?

Anyways we hope she finds her way back.

I really hope your cat returns. I am amazed at how cats can come back after such a long time away. I also hope she comes back in good health!
Oh no!!!! Poor kitty. I hope she comes home soon!
If she made her way home once before, then she will be able to make it again as long as nothing keeps her from doing so.

I will be sending you good thoughts that your kitty comes home. They are amazing at finding their way back!
Thanks everyone. Still no sign of her, and I can't even go out. If someone took her in they can call our number, or a vet can scan the chip.

I'll update later.
Here's hoping for the best.
It's best to go out and look for her at night. Especially if she is an indoor kitty. They say they feel safer at night because there is less noise. Cats don't have a huge territory and usually tend to stay within a couple of houses type of radius. (unless not spayed). If cats get injured they tend to hide, so it make sense to walk around with a flashlight and look in every nook & cranny of your yard & your neighbor's.
I agree with Verve Up and don't forget to stick up posters and call the animal shelter. Keep doing it too as sometimes the animal gets picked up weeks later by someone.

I'm thinking of you and hope she finds her way home soon.

Daisie,
Sorry, I have been through this myself. :( My cat went to jump into the window sill to escape my dog. He hit the screen so hard that it gave way and he fell out of a 2nd story window. He was okay from the fall but when we went to get to him outside he got freaked out when my best friend's boyfriend tried to corner him.
I would recommend calling the micro-chip company to alert them that she is missing. Also I put flyers up everywhere. Someone called and said they say my cat eating down the street by the cat lady's house.
I eventually found him when he wandered back into my yard. Even though it took lots of patience and treats to get him to come to me.
But he came back.
Wishing you lots of luck that Amy comes back. My cat was gone for over two weeks.
I found her. Silly cat was in the house the whole time. She got herself locked into a closet and couldn't get out. I called her enough times she should have heard me. But the silly thing never made a sound, we just assumed she ran outside. I looked in all the obvious places.

Then I needed something last night, and opened the closet and she came running out. I can't believe she never meowed, if she did I was out picking up the kids and then it was just too noisy to hear her.

We think she ran into the closet, and then hubby was in that room, and he always closes things and she was not seen. But it is a room we aren't in alot, so no need to go back until last night. With her peeing problem, we close everything. And fortunately we didn't have any messes, none that we could see, but I sprayed down the area anyways.
:phew: Glad you found her.
Your cat must be sooo thirsty and hungry!!!! My cat is indoors only, for my peace of mind, and when she disappears... I FREAK!!!!! My husband always tells me to calm down because she HAS to be inside, but I immediately think she got and start running down the street with her bag of treats. Happens so many times... EVERY time, she's been locked in a closet and my husband is there rolling his eyes.
LOL! Glad you found her when you did though!
I'm glad she's ok!!!!
