Do dogs sense you are pregnant?

I posted a note a few weeks ago as my OES would not leave the house to go for a walk mainly due to guns going off near by. I'm at the stage where I can get him out everyday (its a bit of a stuggle and I just have to walk away from him but he soon realises what he is missng and catches up) and he is happy to walk in the near by field.

But when I try to take him on longer walks he is not happy and sits or lies down and heads for home. I am just wondering if he senses that I am pregnant (18 weeks) and he is trying to protect me from walking too far?

Has any one else been in this situation or am I just imaging things?

What a good boy!

He may not know that your are pregant (congrats!), but he does know you are "different".

Dogs can tell the scent of the hormones we produce. And yours have changed.

Yes, is probably trying to protect you.

(Give him a cookie!)
My friend is 7 months pregnant and George (although he has only ever seen her pregnant) puts his head on her tummy when she strokes him. He doesn't do this to anyone else!

Just so you know the information about the CD I gave you also has babies crying on it!!

Congrats on your pregnancy!
