Do dogs sense you are pregnant?
But when I try to take him on longer walks he is not happy and sits or lies down and heads for home. I am just wondering if he senses that I am pregnant (18 weeks) and he is trying to protect me from walking too far? Has any one else been in this situation or am I just imaging things? |

| What a good boy! He may not know that your are pregant (congrats!), but he does know you are "different". Dogs can tell the scent of the hormones we produce. And yours have changed. Yes, is probably trying to protect you. (Give him a cookie!) |
| My friend is 7 months pregnant and George (although he has only ever seen her pregnant) puts his head on her tummy when she strokes him. He doesn't do this to anyone else!
